the children of our neighbours (father is from serbia, cacak, mother
is macedonian from skopje) feel only serbian!
they wear always clothes with the serbian flag on it and ae proud serbs.
how funny that they donīt speak serbian, but only macedonian.
I asked them why they donīt wear clothes with the macedonian flag,
but they couldnīt answer me.
By the way, the oldest son is married to a greek woman
and it always makes me laughing how she looks at me when
I am talking with him in macedonian.

Its often the case, what ever the father is, the children follow. That's unless the woman wears the pants.

I think some people here (Brian and Komita) have some rather extreme views that i dont agree with. I believe if you marry some one who is not a macedonian it does not make you any less of a macedonian or your children. Dont get me wrong it would be "ideal" for a macedonian to marry a macedonian, but i guess if you live in a multi-cultural palce like Australia there is a high chance you will be attracted to a non-macedonian. I have met a few macedonians who are half australian, filipino etc and they are proud of being macedonian and even know a bit of the language.

However my main issue is with macedonians marrying serbs,grks, bulgars, and now shiptars.

I can't speak for them directly, but I think that's what the outrage here is about: dating a shiptar, not someone non-Macedonian. I started this thread, and that's what my opinion is.

Had he been ANY ordinary Black man, let alone a White man, he would have made head-lines for all the negative reasons.

He makes some really strong points in that video, but times have changed. In Australia, despite there being dozens of distinct cultures, everyone can relate on the basis that we are all Australian. It's not as black and white as Ali makes it to be, at least not in the 21st century.

He is quite confronting and upfront in that clip, and definitely an admirable character...yet I can't help but think that if a white person in that day and age said his exact words, they may well be labelled as a racist. Even today, it is at the point where some cultures and groups of people are almost over-protected due to the mishaps of the past. It's basically at the stage where you really need to think before you say.
