Dan, RTG has a thread where this issue has been discussed. The whole problem with Macedonia coming under the name of "fyrom" is because Greece threatens host nations with Boycots.

Not sure if anyone is aware, but in the Bejing olympics, China decided to introduce us as Macedonia. Bakoyanis sent her dogs over to china, and threatened they would Boycot the games if China did not use fyrom.

I would love one day for a host nation to call there bluff. If Greece does go through with there threats, then there is nothing to loose. Its not like the Greeks do good in something they claim they invented "Olympics".

Poor Family probably has not recieved his body yet, and this Canadian dick head is not only labeling the olympian being 100% at fault, but he is complaining about how they changed the course since the accident and it was a disadvantage now to the Canadians that practiced on it way before any other nation had a chance to use.

Can someone tell me if the Canadian girl singing the Canadian national anthem at the opening ceremony has a Macedonian backgournd. I'm not 100% sure, but I could have sworn they said her name was Niki Jonovski, or there abouts. Maybe the Canadians on this forum can find out
