I agree totally, and in fact, in a recent post, I stated that if the name of the state should be anything other than Republic of Macedonia, it should be simply Macedonia.In the name of the blood and the sun, the dagger and the gun, Christ protect this soldier, a lion and a Macedonian. -

If I was drafting the Constitution of a Macedonian state (we currently don't have a Macedonian state, but a vassal state that is a bizarre federation of politically privileged Albanians and other citizens of the Republic of Macedonia), I would choose the name Macedonian Republic (I am a strong believer in republican constitutional principles).
