Can't make a distinction with regard to most 'significance', as both feature significantly through different (and sometimes the same) periods of history. In ancient times the sun, in medieval times the lion, how can one make the choice? I would like to simply see the sun as the national symbol and the lion as the coat of arms, and if that isn't possible, the other way around.In the name of the blood and the sun, the dagger and the gun, Christ protect this soldier, a lion and a Macedonian.Comment

Both have a very important significance to the identity of Macedonia
One should never forget one icon or the other...
