I thank you for this. It only adds more certainty that the Bulgarians of today do not resemble the people they are meant to be according to historical interpretation. These Bulgars assimilated into the Thracian people. If the Bulgars assimilated into this population how on earth did their language override the existing one? So where did these modern day Bulgarian people come from? Or... Were they always here to begin with. Is it unrealistic to assume these are Thracian people? Macedonians were of Thracian stock, does this not correlate with the similarities and development in our languages and ethnic appearance?Originally posted by Imagination View PostHi guys!
I'd like to propose that you take your time to read some news that I used google translate to understand, as these news actually hold scientific info.

This is a book from Stoyan Christowe published in 1937. http://books.google.mk/books/about/M...AJ&redir_esc=y
The original title is "Mara". It is reprinted in Bulgaria in 1940 but the title is changed to "Edna b'lgarka" (A Bulgarian girl). http://www.hralupa.com/index.php?act...roductId=24457
