Thanks for the link, I take it the 'Carduchians' are the Kurds. Do the 'Carduchian hills' correspond with where the Kurds live?
Onur, what do you make of this?In the name of the blood and the sun, the dagger and the gun, Christ protect this soldier, a lion and a Macedonian.

If you tell me that the society of Australia is tolerant or that the people in your hometown do not hate immigrants ,i will not ask you a certain survey or research to prove it!
On the other hand there are here nationalist, idiot, intolerant, and even racist people. Unfortunately. Fortunately -as of my personal view- they are a small minority.
More widespread is a sentiment that everybody should contribute to the community and state and not only benefit from it-For example there are many people against the immigrants who do not work,do not even speak German and just receive their social care money and services.

God knows who were the people as he called "Carduchian" but obviously they were either Arabian, Persian, Kurds or Armenians. The chances are slim for Carduchians being the ancestors of today`s Kurds cuz Kurds was only able to raise their population in the world to 25 million with their rapid birth increase policy of last 25 years. Some Kurdish men have about 50 children of his own from 4-5 different women and most Kurdish woman gives birth to 9-10 children for the last 25 years. This wasn't the case b4 1990s. They are still minority today when you look at the population of surrounding people.

Even though I find it very irritating defocusing the real topic but I had to share this:
In a new book detailing what he claims is Germany’s “demise”, Sarrazin claims immigration and higher birth rates mean the country is effectively “turning Muslim.”
Politicians say he has crossed the line. The leader of the Green Party said not only do his comments damage the image of the Bundesbank, they also incite racial hatred. She warned Chancellor Angela Merkel’s government would bear the brunt.
Last year, Sarrazin told a magazine that Berlin’s Arab and Turkish immigrants had no useful function apart from the fruit and vegetable trade.
He was threatened with expulsion from the social democrat SPD and stripped of some duties by the Bundesbank.
What happens this time remains to be seen.
What France’s attitude to the Roma tells us about Europe
Italy proclaimed a state of emergency two years ago—extended in 2009—due to the Roma. It attempted to categorize all Roma in the country, but backed down after stiff opposition.
Denmark also expelled a group of “criminal Roma” in July. Germany has signed a deal to return 12,000 to Kosovo.
As Jean Quatremer, writing in the French paper Liberation, said, “Paris is only guilty of having said loud and clear what others are doing discreetly.”
Morally reprehensible or not, what France’s Roma incident teaches us is this: Europe can be roused to act against a generally unpopular ethnic group.
Instead of the Roma, imagine it is the Muslims: A major act of terrorism causes right-wing politicians to speak out against Islam. Since 9/11, anti-Islamic sentiment has been growing in Europe. This terror attack pushes Europe over the edge—nations start deporting their Muslim populations. Tensions between Islam and Europe rise sharply.
The purpose of the media is not to make you to think that the name must be changed, but to get you into debate - what name would suit us! - Bratot

how about the germans being too nationalistic & kicking out a few of the other nationalities.
In all the history of europe macedonia is the only country with the kongest term that has kept her name & that has been shown on maps till 1913 in it's entirety as a whole.Free frau don't you think that gives us our godgiven right to retain our name.We have a god given right to our nationality of which No one can take away even the greek maggotts.
You should stop speculating freefrau & take up the challenge of knowing the truth that we consider to be the real macedonians with our roots to the ancient macedonians."Ido not want an uprising of people that would leave me at the first failure, I want revolution with citizens able to bear all the temptations to a prolonged struggle, what, because of the fierce political conditions, will be our guide or cattle to the slaughterhouse"

@ Onur: not the right place to talk about the kurds history and presence, but i have to write this:
- they are living beings
- they deserve to have the basic human rights. i dont know how many rights they have in turkey, if they are official minority etc... but if they have no less rights than the rest of the Turkish Citizens, i dont think the support for the PKK will ever rise to some high procents.Bratot:

It looks like Greeks decided to shut down one of the PKK training camps in Greece. I wonder what was the real driving force for their decision?;
Greece Shutting Down Lavrion Refugee Camp
Greece is getting ready to shut down the Lavrion refugee camp which has been a safe haven for PKK terrorists for years.
Greek authorities took action upon reactions in the international arena over news suggesting that the Lavrion camp served as a base opening into Europe in human trafficking.
Greek government warned the refugees in the camp it would prohibit the entry of all life materials including food stuff, clothing and medicine and the camp would be closed down.
Terrorist organization PKK is said to charge Kurdish and Afghan refugees from Iraq, Iran, Syria, Turkey, and Afghanistan, 5 to 7 thousand Euro to bring them to the Lavrion camp. PKK is said to later charge refugees 10 thousand Euro to help them enter European countries with fake passports.
Upon the announcement of the Greek authorities, the refugees incited by PKK terrorists started making preparations to launch protests. But their attempts were prevented when Greek authorities were quick enough to apprehend the four PKK terrorists who were instigating the refugees.
European authorities say majority of the 50 thousand illegal immigrants apprehended in Europe in the H1 of 2010 was Kurdish refugees which illegally entered Europe over Greece.

Just some breaking news and live updates regarding Libya and Greece thanks to the BBC web site.http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-12307698
all times shown are London time.
1033: The Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou spoke to Col Gaddafi by phone on Tuesday. He "listened" to the Libyan leader and stressed the need to prevent a humanitarian crisis, Mr Papandreou's office says.
1058: Greek media reports say one of Col Gaddafi's private planes has crossed Greek airspace en route to Egypt. Greek officials have given no information on who was inside.
1103: No detail on that Libyan plane that's said to have crossed Greek airspace, but Greece has had strong relations with the Gaddafi regime - hence the phone conversation we referred to earlier (1033) between Col Gaddafi and the Greek prime minister.
1112: More on the Libyan plane crossing over Greece. A Greek air force source told AFP that it was a Libyan Airlines Falcon 900 that normally carries VIPs, though the pilot denied that dignitaries were on board. "The pilot tabled a flight plan from Tripoli to Cairo," the official said, adding: "The plane crossed southwest of the island of Crete around an hour ago. It should be landing in Cairo by now."
1156: Reuters reports that the Libyan plane that flew over Greece to Egypt was carrying a Libyan official responsible for supplies, according to an Egyptian airport official.
While the whole world are talking and backing a no fly zone over Libya, Greece opens its air space for a Libyan official responsible for supplies. I wander what supplies this government official had. Most likely Greece will deny there is anything sinister going on, on their part, but lets do our math according to these reports.
A) The Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou spoke to Col Gaddafi by phone on Tuesday at 10:33 GMT
B) 25 minutes later, one of Col Gaddafi's private planes has crossed Greek airspace en route to Egypt.
hmmmmmmm
C) Greece has had strong relations with the Gaddafi regime - hence the phone conversation we referred to earlier (1033)
D) A Greek air force source told AFP that it was a Libyan Airlines Falcon 900 that normally carries VIPs, though the pilot denied that dignitaries were on board. But obviously it was a lie, because not long after Reuters reports that the Libyan plane that flew over Greece to Egypt was carrying a Libyan official responsible for supplies.
so what does all this equal? Greece are rouges and does what it wants.http://www.macedoniantruth.org/forum/showthread.php?p=120873#post120873

For example, Usama Bin Laden`s biggest accounts are in Greek Cyprus. I wouldn't be surprised that if most of the billions of Gaddafi is in Cyprus and Greece owned banks.

Within the same days the newspaper Havargi reported based on an analysis of AKEL economic research unit that the yearly revenue in Southern Cyprus from drug trade and illegal deposits amounted to 230 million KL. According to the newspaper, this amount consisted of 44% or the Gross National Product
Rogue state of Greek Cyprus`s 44% of total GDP comes from illegal money laundering in the banks. No surprise again.
