Could you provide a better one in that case?

Toros mountain? I didn't know that. I know there are quite a few people in Greece with this surname: Torosiadis, Torosidis etc

john.....Are there any Macedonian speakers in Kilkis and serres currently? This map is not historical, i would be guessing it's showing currently where the majority of the Macedonian speakers are.

Well, Bill, if it is not about history and is only about majority then I don't know. What I know is that I've met in the past in Greece people from these regions that could speak Macedonian, but they were claiming it was with different accent than from the Voden region.

Kilkis and Seres have been heavily settled with Prosfiges(Refugees) mostly Pontis. The Macedonians are to be found in the villages. But many villages are mixed in the area.

The same goes for Voden, Lerin and Kozani regions as well. Provinces such as Almopia in Voden region and Ptolemaida in Kozani region are full of prosfiges and mixed villages do exist there. That's why I'm saying that the map should include also the regions of Kilkis and Serres, but that's again my opinion.
