    Population and Composition of Greece in 1832

    What was the number of people, and what was the ethnic composition like at the birth of modern Greece? Let's try and get a conclusive answer to this once and for all. After we have determined the best near approximates, we can create a proper map based on the findings. Below are some sources to begin with, I know that TM and Daskalot in particular would have plenty of information to corroborate. Even if the statistics are from a few years or decades later, let's post them up anyway as it will contribute to the overall objective and make it easier to confirm the facts.

    The International Cyclopedia, Richard Gleason Greene, 1890. (Regarding Morea)
    ……in 1827, it had reached 300,000, of whom only one-sixth were Turks; and in 1880 it was 745,000.
    The Psychology of Socialism, Gustav Le Bon, John Stanley.
    In 1851, at the time of her enfranchisement, Greece possessed about one million inhabitants, of whom a quarter were Albanians or Wallachians. The population was a residue of invaders of all peoples, and notably of Slavs.
    There are plenty of sources that make such references, let's compile them all here and clarify our perception on this topic solidly.

    Here's something from 1895 and how big the population is and who the supposes grks in Macedonia were;

    I don't agree with Carlo De Stefani's idea of any ancient Hellenes in Otto's invented society in 1895. It seems like wishful thinking from these 19th and 20th century travellers. But it seems that he is insinuating that the "Wallachians" and the "Slavs" became grkoman and hence your imposter hellenes in Macedonia through school propaganda as well as church propaganda.

      I hear a large part of the population was Albanian, with some sources citing the official language used in Greece was Albanian.
