Cultea, you know that this is just a pretext invented by Greek authorities to make these formerly Turkish speaking people to feel better psychologically since we know that in Greece, it`s considered as some kind of nightmare to have any connection with the Turks.

If we were Turkifying people then how come only Anatolian people were speaking Turkish while professing christian religion. Why we don't see this in anywhere else? like Macedonia, Bulgaria?? why there was no Turkish speaking Bulgarians, Macedonian christians in ~600 years of time?

If we were really in to this Turkifying business, then why your parents was speaking Greek, we were so bad in this business so we couldn't Turkify all Greeks in ~600 years of time??? (i repeat 600 years of time!!). Why we couldn't do what French, British did in Algeria, India in 80-100 years of time? There are several records which says that Karamanlis, Cappadocian christians was speaking Turkish as early as 14-15th century. Also eastern Roman archives tells the same story. So if thats the case why we couldn't convert them in to islam for ~600 years while they were already speaking same language as us??? (if we were pro on this Turkfying issue). Besides that, you can be sure that the patriarchy in Istanbul would definitely record any islamization/assimilation attempt by the Turks and any loss in their community. If your people has been Turkified, then where are patriarchy archive records which talks about that???

Also, why we would Turkify Greeks but don't touch Bosnians, Arabs in whole middle-east? Why there is not a single Bosnian today who can speak Turkish? If we would Turkifying people, why pass Bosnians, Pomaks while they were already muslim and quite fond of living in Turkey? Why Arabs cant speak Turkish today after we ruled them for about ~900 years while they adopted French, English as an official languages in 20th century??

Cultea, tell me a single society who lived under foreign domination and who also preserved their language, religion, customs for ~600 years of time?? You cannot give an example to this except the ones who lived under Ottoman reign. If Turks would prefer to assimilate you, then there would no one except Turks today in whole Balkans and Anatolia. if the ruling power intents to assimilate people, no one can escape from that for ~600 years. It can be done in 60-100 years of time as we perfectly observed in modern Greece.
