I love it! Glad you guys are participating! That's interesting, most people in Skopje say Auspuh for exhaust pipe, but I would agree that Izduv is the proper term.

Fuel = Gorivo by the way, Nafta = Oil (like crude oil. Many people use Nafta to refer to Diesel, although the proper term for Diesel is Dizel).
    Gasoline-Benzin
Float (like in a gas tank) = plovak
    Gauge = Instrument
Motor Oil - Motorno Maslo (often called ulje)
Wheel weights (for balancing) = tegovi za bandas
    Extension Cord - Prodolzen Kabel

Coolant/Antifreeze - called antifreeze in Macedonia, but not sure what the proper term would be

Anybody know how to say wheel alignment??

No problem, чада basically comes from чад (smoke), it may be a regional feature.

I think there is no one place on the internet that offers translations for technical terms, tools, and other similar words into Macedonian. Often, for people who don't use these words in their daily conversations, it can be hard to find out how to say those things in Macedonian.

I'll start with a few examples. If any of you know any more, please post them here for the benefit of anybody visiting this forum. If any of you have requests, also please post them.

Ball Joint (auto part) - Округлест Зглоб
    Piston (auto part) - Клип
    Gasket - Дихтон
    Screw - Штраф
    Nail - Шајка
Washer (for a bolt) - шајбна
Nut (for a bolt) - мутер
    Saw - пила
    Torque Wrench - Момент Клуч
    Screwdriver - Штрафцигер
Digital Caliper (For measuring with precision) - Шублер
Brake Pad - Плочка за кочење
Brake Rotor - Диск За кочење
Drum Brakes - Кочници со Гуртна
    Clutch - Куплунг
Working...
