States-successors of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (SFRY) have agreed on the first allocation of the property of the former country.
According to the agreement, Macedonia is to get the embassy in Canberra and the consulate in Athens from the first stage of the property allocation.
Serbian foreign ministry official Vladimir Curguz told Tanjug that Serbia would hand over to Croatia the building of the embassy in Vienna and two apartments in Trieste.
Slovenia gets the residence in Rome, consulates in Klagenfurt and Milan, whereas Bosnia&Herzegovina the residence in Budapest and a house in Washington.
Serbia is to assume the embassy in Prague, as well as residencies in Washington and Ottawa.
The property allocation is carried out in line with the agreed quotas of the former members of the Yugoslav federation.
The next allocation is to be conducted this September. Property allocation in Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) states is to be completed by mid-2012, followed by negotiations for properties in Africa, Asia and other parts of the globe.
