When the Slavs migrated to the Balkans, they tried to push the Hellenic nation to the Sea. Our northern borders were being flooded by Slavic tribes. So of course we had to cleanse those areas out at some point in our history and push the Slav invaders back.
Did you think we were just going to sit back and allow our lands to be flooded by foreigners, speaking a foreign tongue?
He was born in a Macedonian village at the base of Mt Olympus (I think, or it could be just south of it), and from what I have read about him, as a boy he used to listen to his father talk about Macedonians alot.
.
In Olympos mt there were only Greeks and Vlachs(with Greek consiousness too).

I believe he is one of the begalci, and went to Poland. He moved to Australia, and married here.
He is particularly furious that since the 1850's the Greeks have openly burned and destroyed priceless Macedonian libraries on Holy Mountain, and elsewhere, and that the Greeks have tried to "contrive a Hellenic basis" for the Byzantine Empire (he refues to call it that because the liturgy, language and schooling of Christians in south east Europe for the greater part of 1,700 years was in Macedonian), and he has a strong case for that.
What can you guys tell me about Vasil Bogov, I couldnt find anything about his personal life or achievements on a google search(only the book(s) he wrote appeared, and forum links) and nothing on Wiki either.
That is some very powerful stuff, as SoM says.
I am curious to know more about this man.
Some powerful stuff there. It would be great if we can get our hands on the sources and any others that may corroborate it.
Vasil Bogov gets this from Douglas Dakins book, which I have not read. So I'd be interested to see where he gets his information from.
I would like to go back to the original reports, which would be held in the British archives in London, because instead of retaliating (sometimes they did), these were good Macedonian christians, they reported the murders to the British consulates.
In 1906 Athanas Nikola of Nikishani was arrested by the Turks, and in his statement to Turkish authorities revealed that he had been employed, along with three others, at 3 golden napoleons per month by the Greek consulates in Macedonia to murder certain Macedonians.
Later in 1907, three people were arrested by the Turks, and questioned. They made a statement that the Greek consul himself had personally given them arms, and offered them 10 golden napoleons to kill all Macedonians who refused to convert to Eparchial control. This information was then brought to the attention of the British consulates in Macedonia (which is how we know about it).

A letter found on the person of Greek prisoner from 1904 read:
"Exterminate the Macedonian priests, the teachers and the notables, and neglect no means of proving to the whole world that Macedonia is purely Greek".

In the village of Zagorichani (a patriotic village) a Greek band numbering about 200 men surprised it in a night attack on April 6-7, 1905.
They burned ten houses, wounded seven people, and murdered in cold blood no less that sixty (60) Macedonians, among the dead included seven (7) women, twenty two (22) Macedonians over sixity years of age, and five children under 15 years.
In August 1902, Karavangelis payed two Turks from the village of Zherveni (which was a Turkish village) out of about 35 Macedonian village in the region.
The Greek cleric gave the two assasins a list of Macedonian men to be killed, and he promised to give them five Turkish pounds for every Macedonian head that fell, and according to Karavangelis's letters both men "were extremely active".

On the 5th November a Greek band killed three Macedonians at Ossani near Voden, and on the following day killed another three Macedonians at Tekovo.
On the 26th November a Greek band attacked a Macedonian wedding at Zelenich, and killed 42 people. According to the sources, the reason for the attack was that they did not reject the Macedonian Christian church.
