London to Host Days of Macedonian Culture

    Monday, 15 November 2010

More than 30 Macedonian artists - actors, bands, writers, painters and filmmakers - will take part at a manifestation called "Days of Macedonian Culture", organised in London between November 16 and 22.

Bands "Leb I Sol", "Foltin" and "Infuse" are scheduled to perform in London, while August Strindberg's play "Nora" - produced by the Turkish theater in Skopje and directed by Aleksandar Popovski - and "Chairs" - directed by Ljubisha Georgievski and produced by the Bitola Small Drama Theater - will be staged at the event.

Several Macedonian photographers will be promoted during the manifestation at an exhibit titled "Urban Landscape". Also, "A Name is a Name" by Sigurjón Einarsson will be screened.

Playwright Goran Stefanovski together with poet Nikola Madzirov are going to take part at a literary debate on current conditions in literature.

"Days of Macedonian Culture" is organised by London's "Krug" cultural group and MAG - organisation for culture and experience from Skopje - with financial support from the Ministry of Culture. The Association of Macedonians living and working in Great Britain is a patron of the manifestation.
