Triview, Haier to open computer factory in Macedonia

South Korean Triview and Chinese Haier computers have agreed to make a joint investment in the free economic zone in Bunardzik, Macedonia, Macedonian media reported.

The two companies will start building a computer and LCD monitor production plant in Bunardzik in April, which will create 200 IT related jobs.

They plan to start production late 2009. According to first projections, several thousands TV sets and computers worth around EUR 40 million in total will be produced in Bunardzik every year.

At the same time, the two companies are planning to set up an R&D center for integrated solutions for big projects in the region. //03.10.09 MiNa
