They are referred to as Macedonian citizens, because Macedonia is no longer the country and home of the Macedonians, but rather it is the country of the citizens of the Republic of Macedonia.

Effectively, by allowing Macedonia to move away from a "Macedonia for the Macedonians" with full minority rights for minorities, it has become a Macedonia for the citizens and thus we Macedonians are losing our state and with that, our identity.

We are about to witness how the "Macedonian citizen" will be a term denoting a difference from a "Macedonian" and we'll witness how the Greeks will use that to their advantage in completely claiming the title of being "Macedonians", as we lose our ethnic/national identifier/name and solely become "Macedonain citizens", paving the way for a complete identity loss and subsequently a name change...

A Macedonian is an ethnic Macedonian.
            A Macedonian Citizen requires clarification.
You are correct Rogi, this is a recent and sinister ploy and I very much do not like the direction it is going.

Have a read of this... I'm glad others are aware of what we're saying here:

It's true. Like when the Albanians from Debar tried to blow up that Fort in America. Or when the Albanians were shooting each other during the elections. Or when the Albanians were dealing drugs in Austria.

Bit of a trend isn't it?

I suggest the media adopts the American approach:
                Albanian-Macedonian, Roma-Macedonian etc etc etc

Or they could just say they were Albanians.

These guys (article above) were Macedonians. Ethnic Macedonians.

But they're referred to as Macedonian-citizens, not as Macedonians, which is a huge problem in the way we discussed above.

Did anyone read the article? I think that is very interesting article from VEST.

                    Were they Ethnic Macedonians?

Rogi I read the article. We've all been saying this for a long time now. Why is it when we mention anything Macedonian we are called Nationalists but the greeks can claims a million different cultures as their pure hellenism for 7 thousand years and get away with it?

Od druga strana, kaj nas dolgi godini oficijalnata politika beše deka Slovenite go preplivale Dunav i nebare naselile prazna pustina".
Yet we're not allowed to call Albanians so, because they live in Macedonia and if we do that is terrorism and gives them a right (in their eyes) to take a third of our country away.

We need to be more aggressive as mentioned above.
