Default Easter Traditions

I thought with Easter coming up, we could share what we knew about Macedonian traditions, what they mean, how they came about and if we know of some that have been phased out over the years.

Forgive me if there is already a thread with this topic, failed to see it while I was looking around.

Wanted to get the ball rolling with this little nugget I found but it fails to mention what the significance of the dying represents.

Quoted in the Times Daily newspaper, Alabama US, 27th March, 2002.

If anyone could shed some light on the topic, would be much appreciated.
