    Disgraceful Bulgar racists.

MHRMI/AMHRC, how many people attended the commemorations? Of those, how many were local Macedonians?

      MHRMI/AMHRC
Go forth with all your might, we are all behind you, whatever resources are needed please do not hesitate to ask! Make sure you nail these pricks!
On Delchev's sarcophagus you can read the following inscription: "We swear the future generations to bury these sacred bones in the capital of Independent Macedonia. August 1923 Illinden"

        Some good points raised there

Todor Petrov on the interview said that they didnt end up going to Jane Sandanski's grave and that once they entered Pirinska Makedonija they kept being blocked at Police Checkpoints. Why do the Bulgarians want to celebrate Ilinden with us when they are clearly our Dushmani? They should be banned to step foot inside Sveti Spas where Goce Delcev is buried.

Bulgaria Wants Guarantees over Macedonia's New Name

Bulgaria Wants Guarantees over Macedonia's New Name

Bulgaria’s President Georgi Parvanov has declared that the adoption of a new name by FYROM must entail guarantees against territorial claims.

Parvanov met Friday with the Plovdiv Mayor Slavcho Atanasov and Petko Atanasov, leader of the newly set up political party VMRO-NIE, to discuss Bulgaria’s position on the Greece-Macedonia name dispute after Greece recently suggested that it approved “Northern Macedonia” as the new name for FYROM.

Petko Atanasov has demanded from the Bulgarian President to define clearly the position of the Bulgarian state with respect to the new name of Macedonia, and to clarify the conditions under which Bulgaria will support Macedonia for its accession to NATO and the EU.

The VMRO-NIE leader has stressed that the Macedonian media and institutions should give up using hate language with respect to Bulgaria, and should stop “falsifying Bulgaria’s history.”

Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov has declared that Bulgaria will welcome the settlement of the 20-year dispute between Greece and FYROM over the name of the latter.

However, he has stated explicitly that the issue has to be settled through a mechanism that did not allow Macedonia to raise subsequent claims for the Bulgarian state.

Parvanov made it clear that he has notified the Greek PM George Papandreou and the Macedonian President George Ivanov about the Bulgarian position that the new name of Macedonia, which is connected with a geographical region, needs to include explicit guarantees for the Bulgarian state.

Both the President and the VMRO-NIE party have expressed their position against the rise of any

          radical nationalist movements in Bulgaria.

The Bulgarian party VMRO-BND is considered a descendant of the Internal Macedonian-Adrianople Organization that fought for the liberation of the regions of Macedonia and Thrace from the Ottoman Empire at the beginning of the 20th century. The VMRO-NIE party was set up in March after a large number of the VMRO-BND members left it, and went ahead for the new structure.

The cause of the rift was a dispute VMRO-BND party congress in October when the Plovdiv Mayor Slavcho Atanasov was beaten for the leadership post by the incumbent Krasimir Karakachanov.

Slavcho Atanasov is believed to become the new leader of the VMRO-NIE party.

It appears Bulgari are starting to shake in their kirpsi that Pirin will be brought up. They sure are sucking up to grease's tits

Makedonetz, can you please post a link to that article? I think it has already been discussed here before. The same racist garbage from a few deluded Bulgars.

                SoM,

Over 1,000 local Macedonians attended the event and by all accounts a performance by the folklore group "Solunchani" (who are connected to Vinozhito and actually came up from Solun for the event) set the crowd "on fire". There were Bulgarian security service agents present who were filming the event and at one point the crowd noted their presence and jeered them quite loudly. According to Stojko Stojkov, a co-president of OMO, it was the most successful gathering they have held in many years and the most promising thing was the significant presence of younger generation Macedonians from Pirin.

AMHRC, Has the Macedonian Government sent a protest letter to the Bulgarian Ambassador in Skopje? This has to be the scandal of the year so far, absolutely disgusting behavior by the Bulgarians

Rascist Pigs, amazing the types the EU supports! Equality, diversity and all.
A well written press release, what is RoM doing about it?
This should be something that is taken further.

if the bulgarians want to play games, I agree with prolet, why should they be allowed into RoM for commemorative events at Gotse delchev's grave, would they enjoy some tit for tat?

                    Shameful. Absolutely abhorrent

That's excellent AMHRC, good to hear. Do the Macedonians have their own footage of the event, and if so, will it be made available like the clips from Ovcharani?

I think Prolet's question is also warranted. Is the Macedonian Government aware, according to your knowledge? Any action to be expected? Just to be on the safe side, I won't hold my breath. The silence from Gruevski and Ivanov towards Bulgaria is pitiful.

Really, Whats goin on after 20 years???

First Greece proposes new name to you, then USA and EU interferes, now Bulgaria...

Whats the reason of this pressure and rush on that after 20 years??? You gotta think that and find it. It must have a proper reason behind all this.

Btw, Bulgar president confirms that your current name signifies the dispute on current Greek and Bulgaria lands, which is also confirmed and recognized by 120+ countries but a name like "Northern Macedonia" throws all your claims to the garbage can.

                          SoM,

The Macedonian government was made aware of the incidents by AMHRC/MHRMI. Also a press conference on this scandalous affair was held in Skopje by the people affected. However, we do not know yet if the Macedonian government is going to respond.

There are numerous photos of the Sandanski commemoration that will appear in an upcoming issue of the AMHRC Review, along with a more detailed account of the event - an event that AMHRC/MHRMI were proud to have been sponsors of. We are not sure at this stage if film footage will also be made available.

                          Regards,

                          AMHRC.

Onur, Bulgaria was the first country to recognize us after the break up of Yugoslavia, however they did so with the belief that we would somehow become a second Bulgarian state which it didnt happen in the end, so now they are looking at us like their enemies. They recognize that a Macedonian state exists however they dont recognize a Macedonian Identity and Language according to them we all speak Bulgarian this is why technically they wernt the first country to recognize us as i believe it was Turkey whos fully recognized us.

Bulgaria has on many occasions tried to interfere in Macedonian Policies, they've tried to create so called Bulgarian minority by handing out Bulgarian Passports to our citizens.

What fucking New Name fucking idiots. Let's do our statistics on Bulgaria's population and we'll find a majority Macedonian population. Their capital is also a Macedonian City so I have no idea what those delusional Tatari are on about!
From the village of P’pezhani, Tashko Popov, Dimitar Popov-Skenderov and Todor Trpenov were beaten and sentenced to 12 years prison. Pavle Mevchev and Atanas Popov from Vrbeni and Boreshnica joined them in early 1927, they were soon after transferred to Kozhani and executed. As they were leaving Lerin they were heard to shout "With our death, Macedonia will not be lost. Our blood will run, but other Macedonians will rise from it"
