None of the ships sang the national anthem.

An appropriate excuse for the miserable loss is that the ref and assistants were Greek.

In summary the ships and Greeks have done it again.

Melbourne Victory Now has a Macedonian, Greek and a Albanian. All we need is a Serb, Croat and a Turk and we are good to go

Surely the Greek bloke can play the role of the Turk, probably didn't need the Albanian bloke either, the Greek had that base covered as well.

No need to insult the Albanians, after all they are the new Greeks who have maintained a 4,000 year old bloodline of pure Greeks?

The face is not familiar but the name is. Unless there was another Georgievski in the national side, for one reason or another......this name for some reason stands out to me.

Patriotism aside, Can you or anyone else rate him?

Italian model Claudia Romani is venturing into a new career path in the world of football - after passing an exam in order to become a professional referee.

The 32-year-old has hung up her heels to become a referee, something which has been high on her agenda for a number of months.

Romani is now qualified to referee fixtures in both Serie A and Serie B - something which she is understandably delighted about.

Seems like she may be a bit of a distraction to the boys.

On a lighter note, it was good to see Steve Kuzmanovski debut for WSW last week. He was only on the pitch for 10-15 minutes but made a noticeable impact, almost scoring the equaliser with a nice shot. Good to see more Macedonians making it in the A-League.

A West Sydney boy, what the hell is he doing at Victory?
                      Still like him though.

On another note, if he hadn't represented Macedonia, he could of been quite handy to the Socceroos. After the training bust-up with the coach (?) I don't think he'll be playing any time soon.
Definitely would have been handy to have in the squad.
He had an apparent argument with striker Adis Jahovic which resulted in both of them being kicked out, not sure for how long though.

Have any of you guys been watching the Asian Cup? Australia is tearing it up so far, currently 3-0 up against Oman. That said, anything short of a final appearance (and preferably a win) will be a failure IMO, given that we are on our home turf. The signs are a lot more positive in these first two games however, with a few others (apart from Cahill) hitting the back of the net for once. Ognenovski may not be in the squad, but it was good to see him on the panel pre-game.

I'd hide the scoreline with spoiler tags, but I don't think there is an option to do so. Either way, it's pretty pissweak that the matches aren't broadcast live on FTA. If they are serious about promoting the sport in this country, the media really needs to pull their finger out.

A bad starting lineup for the socceroos. Ange got this wrong tonight.
Normally you would start a decent side, grab a lead and then rest players.

I agree, completely fucked up the starting lineup...and in typical Ange fashion he blamed the pitch...

Cahill does it again. The only one who can consistently finish in the team. Australia would be in trouble without him.
