Default Wildfires rampaging in Macedonia

The wildfires have destroyed thousands of hectares of forest, which will take decades to rebuild. Some of the most beautiful mountainous areas in the country have been impacted - Berovo, Pehchevo, Delchevo, and also the areas of Kocani, Bitola, Gevgelija, Staro Negoricane.

Situation in Macevo village escalating, several houses at risk, three helicopters engaged

The director of the Crisis Management Center, Stojance Angelov, informed on Facebook that the situation in the village of Macevo is escalating, and that the fire threatens several houses.

He notes that three helicopters have been sent to the region.

Three helicopters (one of ours and two Serbian) are headed to the Berovo village of Macevo where the situation is escalating and several houses are at risk. Helicopters will continue to operate in this area (Pehcevo / Delcevo / Berovo) as long as there is enough daylight, Angelov wrote.

Wasn't this roof-tile clown taking selfies drinking beer when the fires were starting to burn? His incompetence was such, that his boss (Zaev) had to cut short his personal holiday while Macedonia was burning. Then there were the Tito-era fire trucks, the lack of preparation during the fire season.........these people don't give a damn about the lives and livelihoods that have been impacted.

(Transl.) The forests are easy to burn and difficult to extinguish - I urge everyone to be careful, to put safety first and to prevent all risks that could cause a fire, said Prime Minister Zoran Zaev on his Facebook profile after he interrupted his vacation this morning and appeared in one of the most critical locations affected by the fires, above the village of Budinarci. The coordination meeting was attended by part of the government leadership, the director of the CMC Stojance Angelov, as well as Austrian firefighters, who showed high efficiency and professionalism in the work.
Then there's this Bulgar moron.....

(Transl.) Trifonov, whose party is due to secure a majority to form a government in Bulgaria by tomorrow, criticized President Rumen Radev and the caretaker government on Facebook tonight for sending five fire trucks to the neighboring country. "It is wonderful to be in solidarity, to be good and to give support. "But I do not think that when your house and the neighbor's house are burning at the same time, you should go and put it out on the neighbor," Trifonov said. "It is great that we are helping Northern Macedonia and it is right, but what does it lead to?" "In our country, the firefighters are not enough and the forest officials should deal with the fires." The proposal for sending aid to Macedonia came from President Radev on August 3, before fires broke out in his country. Today it has already become certain that the big fire that broke out in the vicinity of Pehchevo is a threat to Bulgaria as well. Local authorities in the Bulgarian municipality of Simitli have already warned that the fire is dangerously approaching the border and is only two kilometers from the air line, and due to strong winds it can very quickly affect the municipalities on the other side of the border.
One would think that it is in the interest of Bulgaria to help stop the fires in eastern Macedonia which may spread across the border, but, whatever, it's all politics with these Tatars.
