Marking of International Human Rights Day

Skopje, 10 December 2010 (MIA) - The world marks Friday International Human Rights Day, chosen in honor of the United Nations General Assembly's adoption and proclamation, on 10 December 1948, of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), the first global enunciation of human rights.

"All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights", reads Article 1 of UDHR.

The human rights day will be observed through several events in Macedonia.

Delegation of the EU and UN offices in Skopje organizes a debate titled "Defending Against Discrimination".

The event will include a discussion among human rights defenders, bringing together state officials, civil society, youth and human rights defenders – those who in their daily lives find ways to ensure that others are not discriminated against – to discuss and share experiences so that more people can learn how to counter discrimination and perhaps become defenders.

Welcoming remarks will be provided by EU Special Representative and Head of Delegation of the European Union Erwan Fouere, UN Resident Coordinator Deirdre Boyd, Minister of Labour and Social Policy Xhelal Bajrami, Ombudsman Ixhet Memeti, and President of the Alliance Macedonia without Discrimination Muhamed Toci.

Moreover, EU ambassador Fouere will open an exhibition of 11 posters designed by multi-disciplinary teams of students of journalism, public relations, art and design from the national universities who interpret the Declaration on human rights defenders through visual images and text. ik/fd/9:35

This is a no brainer. What a hypocritical paradoxical farce this is, when Macedonia is being forced to change its name.

Human Rights Watch (ANTI GOVERNMENT) is funded by a racist/hypocrite - George Soros and ALL about building his global empire. Does he help NGO's or buy and use them?
