Interesting video, definitely something that American propaganda has tried to hide. The Western media portrays countries like Cuba to be extremely backwards, yet such videos suggest otherwise. The reason the Americans hate the Castro regime is because he refused to be a puppet, and essentially a colony of the USA. Castro is against imperialism, something which strongly resembles the face of US government interests.

Michael Moore has some great videos, check out a few of his interviews as well. He may be a little more extreme in his views than others, but he definitely raises some valid points.

    Have a look at this:

Have any of you guys seen the videos for Occupy Rome? I'm not sure whether or not it was worse than in Greece.

I'm still wondering why such violence has yet to erupt here in the United States. Here it's the other way around...the police across country are using brute violence against purely peaceful protesters.

Numbers and severity, SirGeorge8600. It's bad in the States, but it's still creamier than in Greece and Italy for more people.

Besides not being as severe in the USA, the movement see themselves as the main front from which the rest of the world sees inspiration (it's a USA thing, just watch the news and it's USA leads this or that with the world following/supporting) so they need to be able to stay the distance.

Even from the Bush days the Patriot act and other bits and pieces (the US have been gearing up for riots) have created and environment of easy arrest, so violence would just be giving the authorities the triger to clamp down and possibly destroy the movement.

Also, the movement is not about violence - you can't 'out-gun' the Fed - but you can out number them. It's a revolution of the mind, awakening people to the injustice of Federal Reserve and getting them to join the swelling numbers - it's trying to convince people to stop eating their BS rather that throwing stones.

just out of curiosity does the '8600' in your name have any special significance?

Are they still "occupying" or did the local Starbucks run out of coffee and the kids moved along?
