![]() Village Jedoarce, Tetovo
Macedonian villagers were evicted from there homes and had to watch as their houses burned down in front of their eyes. Of the 65 houses that were set alight, 10 burnt down completely. Church Sts Kuzman and Damjan (village Jedoarce, Tetovo) The church door was set ablaze whilst vandals proceeded to destroy icons and other religious imagery in the church, burnt church documentation, etc. http://star.utrinski.com.mk/?pBroj=791&stID=5307&pR=2 Church St George (village Otunje, Tetovo) Attackers entered the church, which was built in 1860, and completely vandalised the interior. Icons, seats, the electrical boxes, windows were all broken, amongst other things. The rest of the church inventory was ransacked. http://star.dnevnik.com.mk/?pBroj=2016&stID=11072 Church Holy Mother of God (village Setole, Tetovo) The church was forcibly entered and ransacked the church rendering it completely unusable. As usual, what ever was breakable, was broken. http://star.dnevnik.com.mk/?pBroj=2016&stID=11072 Church St Archangel Michael (Village Neprosteno, Tetovo) Church was broken into and riddled with bullets. Church St George (Village Gorna Recica, Tetovo) Church built on 14th century foundations was broken into and set ablaze. Church Holy Mother of God (Village Brezno, Tetovo) The church which was built in the 19th century was broken into and the icons and other church possessions were destroyed and burnt on the bonfire which was started within the church. May 3 2001, Monastery-Church Holy Mother of God (Village Matejce, Kumanovo) The church dating from the 14th century was completely ransacked and vandalised; the altar was removed, the living quarters completely stripped of all belongings whilst the walls and icons were attacked by pickaxes. ![]() Thank you for bringing the topic back to life, SoM. I hadn't found it yet, it must have been buried a few pages back in this sub-forum.
It makes me sick this whole 'war', however I must admit that I was very obsessed with this conflict during it happened, and long after it. The heart-wrench my family and I had to go through to watch our own country in flames on CNN, BBC, etc, and to watch as the government pretends that it can't coordinate itself against a couple of hundred JUNGLE MONKEYS shooting at us with ancient weapons, in their uniforms bearing long beards and white caps. I have seen more than a few interviews with some high-ranking police/military figures at the time who talk quite openly about the war. The names include Goran Stojkov and Stojance Angelov. Angelov being the leader of the current "Dostoinstvo" organization for the rights of the injured veterans. I will try to find the interviews and post them here. Stojkov and Angelov both fought and led others during the war, and Angelov was very badly hurt during the fight for the liberation of Aracinovo, just outside of Skopje. Angelov was shot in the chest, and was rushed to the hospital in Skopje where the doctors had to wire his rib-cage back together and barely managed to save his life. After the war, he was fired from his position, was degraded to a very low paying and embarassing interior ministry job, and then eventually fired from that. Stojkov on the other hand was thrown in jail along with three other men he fought with during the war. He only recently finished serving his sentence, and there is a video somewhere on youtube of him talking about the situation on some TV show. I have uploaded a TV Show on tracker.mk, for which I will provide a link here, hopefully the admins have no problem with this. The video is "KOД - Кој Ја Сакаше Војната Во Македонија" or "KOD - Who Wanted the War in Macedonia". There's another one called "Српските Тајни Служби во Македонија 2001" and it discusses the serbian secret services and their involvement in instigating the war in Macedonia and pushing the KLA terrorists over the mountains into our country. I could discuss this topic for hours, and I think it should be mentioned on this forum for everyone to see. This is a topic that the younger generation doesn't understand all that well, and some of the older generation didn't quite understand all of the events as they unfolded, given the brainwashing media at the time. Here are the links: KOD - Koj Ja Sakase Vojnata vo Makedonija ![]() http://tracker.mk/details.php?id=9971 Srpskite Tajni Sluzbi Vo Makedonija 2001 ![]() http://tracker.mk/details.php?id=10079 Last edited by ProMKD; 11-16-2011 at 07:14 PM. |
