They speak the same language and reside in the same geographical location only from the Muslim-Christian population exchange between Turkey and Greece.

This took place in the 1920's.

The Roma (gypsy) people have more right to Macedonia than a bunch of Asian Christians that have lived for no more than 85 years on the land.

Look for some Anatolian or Hittite heritage from Asia, where most of you descend from.

Really but most of them spoke Turkish when they came to Macedonia. Are they still descendants of the ancient Macedonians?

Soup Man, Greece is a racist state that does not recognize its ethnic minorities. At the very least, the report highlights this obvious fact.

We are in the 21st century, don't talk about a group of people your Turkish ancestry has nothing to do with, in either name, ethnicity or geography.

            From the UN report....

            40. The Kingdom of Ancient Macedonia is part of the Hellenic historical and cultural heritage, reclaimed by modern Greece, and with a population of primarily ethnic Greeks, despite linguistic variations due to historical influence. The government points to the archaeological sites including Vergina, where tombs of King Phillip II and Alexander IV dating back to the 3rd Century BC were unearthed in the 1970s. Artefacts including these tombs display ancient Greek inscriptions considered by the government to confirm that the region and its people are historically Greek.

Interesting the UN uses the term ethnic Greek.
By the way, where are all these tourkalades your babbling about?

They disappeared into the same 'Hellenic' myth. You wont need to go far to find your Turkosporoi, look in Greek-occupied Macedonia, look for surnames that end in OGLOU (Turkish meaning 'son of'), look for Turkish-looking people (maybe a little hard to distinguish in most cases), etc.

The UN report is supposed to be about HUMAN RIGHTS, leave the ancient history to those interested, scholars, historians or otherwise, it has absolutely no relevance to HUMAN RIGHTS in 2009.

The government points to the archaeological sites including Vergina, where tombs of King Phillip II and Alexander IV dating back to the 3rd Century BC were unearthed in the 1970s
And our government can point you to places like Bitola, Pelagonia, Ohrid, etc where ancient Macedonian artifacts have been discovered.

An "ethnic" Greek in the ancient era? Pathetic. Again, the UN should leave history to the historians and do their job of Uniting the Nations of the world, not drawing on 3,000 year old myths to give a sense of equilibrium to a stupid and completely unjust issue against the Macedonian nation.

The UN went looking for thousands upon thousands of persecuted minorities in Greece. Another myth.

No, that is reality. They found these minorities, that is another reality.

Seeing a 3,000 year Macedonian connection in a people largely descended from Asia is a myth, and quite frankly a joke.

Then who are the ethnic Greeks in the report? Are they the alleged Asians you are referring to?

These are the people SoM refers. Those are your so called Greeks, the 4000 years descendants from Alexanders Macedonians

                        Thanks Makedonin.

Soup man, nothing is alleged apart from 3,000 year myths. The rest is fact.

Are you denying the existence of the Macedonian nation, language and state?

                          Opinion noted.
I'm not denying anything, but the UN released report seems to contradict some myths that your kind propagate.

The irrelevant opinion of the UN where it concerns events that took place 3,000 years ago is of no concern or worth to me.

On the contrary, their opinion on what is happening TODAY in the 21st century, where it concerns the HUMAN RIGHTS of people, is of concern and worth to me.

And it is also what they are supposed to be doing as the United Nations.

What are my 'kind' called? What myth does my 'kind' propagate?

If anything this report dispels some myths.
For starters the report illustrates that the UN recognizes the ethnic Greeks that your kind deny, by acknowledging their culture and heritage linked to Makedonia. It is also asking Greece to protect the rights of the "minorities" that are in Thraki and Makedonia.
I see nothing has been reported about the mythical persecutions that has been alleged by your kind.

                                Non-recognition is persecution.

You seem to be avoiding my questions, so I will ask you one more time, and it will be the last question you are asked if you avoid it again.
