Hundreds of protesters and Seattle CouncilwomanKshama Sawant met inside City Hall Tuesday night during the 12th consecutive night of protests in Seattle in the wake of George Floyd's death. A large group of protesters and Seattle Councilwoman Kshama Sawant met inside City Hall Tuesday night during the 12th consecutive night of protests in the wake of George Floyd's death. Councilmember Sawant and her staff allowed the protesters inside the building, which is typically locked up at night. She addressed the crowd and discussed the upcoming council discussions on chokeholds and chemical weapons, police budget and the "Amazon Tax." Many protesters called for Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan to resign as calls for defunding Seattle's police department have increased in urgency...…...Assistant Police Chief Deanna Nollette said no officers will respond to City Hall, unless they are needed in the area.
Protests continue over George Floyd's death, police tactics and systemic racism, not just in Washington and the United States, but around the world.

Seattle protesters, stocked with tarps, blankets and tents, have started to camp out in their self-declared Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone — the area near the Police Department's East Precinct at 11th Avenue and Pine Street. The hope, many protesters have said, is to turn the building into a community center…….Some remaining demonstrators continued talking and organizing donations past midnight, though the area had mostly cleared out by 2 a.m., multiple livestreams showed. Lights at the nearby Cal Anderson Park stayed on, and police were nowhere to be seen.
Just for some perspective here. The Mayor is a Democrat, the Councilwoman is a far-left socialist whose political party supported Bernie Sanders in 2016. Another example of the left eating itself alive. The self-declared "Autonomous Zone" thing though, lol. Coming to a democratic city near you?

Just to put this out there, the centre or centrism is not a political ideology. Its not a set of policies or principles, nor a philosophy or a coherent system of thought. Its a nonsense buzzword used by journalists who don't know what they're talking about yet its their job to speak anyway.

At best, centrism is a gut feeling. Its what people use to explain their incoherent and unconnected thought bubbles or vague and undefined 'policies' when they don't like what other ideological movements have to offer. Naturally, they think their own ideas are normal, reasonable and a perfect balance between the extremes - hence 'the centre'. Little do they know that their ideas fit somewhere within the ideological patchwork, they're not that great and they've already been thought of.

Political Science and Political Philosophy is not a pendulum swinging from the extreme right to the extreme left with everything else in between. Its actually a patchwork of ideologies and philosophies, some of which crossover and some of which never meet - much like the artwork I've attached below. The terms 'left' and 'right' are actually useless. Communism is not the opposite of Fascism. Conservatism isn't left of Fascism. Socialism isn't right of Communism. Its a bad way of thinking about political ideologies and political philosophy because it leads to grossly distorted views of these ideologies and their relative dangers and merits.

What's the problem? These are not the actions of violent rioting mobs and thugs who are hell bent on destruction of property and general anarchy but the justified actions of "peaceful protesters". I say we get used to it people. The revolution has begun. We don't like the past, so we'll erase any evidence of it. Statues, TV shows and old classic movies are just the beginning. As for law and order, that's a racist institutional remnant of the past as well and must be destroyed too. Now take the knee and obey us (or else!). The people have spoken.

Welcome to the Bolshevik Left world view of reality.

Following on from the earlier post on Seattle, here are some more developments: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/...police-protest
Hundreds of protesters have taken over several blocks of Seattle and transformed it into the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone, or “Chaz”, helping to amplify nationwide protests while offering a real-world example of what a community can look like without police...….in a tweet, Donald Trump described the protesters as “Domestic Terrorists” who “have taken over Seattle, run by Radical Left Democrats, of course. LAW & ORDER!”. In another tweet addressing the Seattle mayor, Jenny Durkan, and the Washington governor, Jay Inslee, he told them to “take back your city NOW… If you don’t do it, I will. This is not a game,” adding: “These ugly Anarchists must be stopped IMMEDIATELY. MOVE FAST!”

Inslee responded with his own tweet: “A man who is totally incapable of governing should stay out of Washington state’s business.” Durkan pushed back against Trump’s tweets during a press conference on Thursday, saying the story he is trying to tell about domestic terrorists and a radical agenda was “simply not true”. “The threat to invade Seattle, to divide and incite violence in our city, is not only unwelcome, it would be illegal,” she said. Kim said he saw a silver lining to the president’s tweets, as they could force Seattle leaders to decide whether they’re going to side with Trump or with the community. “In a lot of ways they have been trying to pacify the movement, and undercut the efforts of the organizers, but they’ve been unsuccessfully doing that,” he said...…

Throughout the space are images and signs claiming this space for the people. “You are now entering free Cap Hill,” reads one sign at the edge of the zone in Capitol Hill, which has long had a leading role in the city’s political and social movements......A variety of demands have been raised during the course of the occupation, but the main three involve defunding the police, using that money to invest in community health and services, and dropping criminal charges against protesters. Shaun Scott, a Seattle writer and activist, said he saw some parallels between what was happening in Seattle and the Occupy movement, calling them “kindred spirits in a lot of ways”. “But the movement for police abolition in Seattle right now has differentiated itself by presenting three very clear and actionable demands that the city can take action on in a pretty short period of time,” he said. Lisa McCallister, 30, a case worker in Seattle who has attended the protests, described Chaz as “amazing”.
Tucker Carlson also has a segment on it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KafIdOk8bLs

“There’s a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart, that you can’t take part, you can’t even passively take part, and you’ve got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus and you’ve got to make it stop, and you’ve got to indicate to the people who run it, to the people who own it, that unless you’re free, the machine will be prevented from working at all” - Mario Savio

Won't be long before they start raping themselves in the Peoples Democratic Socialist Republic of Chaz

Reports of crimes inside Occupy Wall Street began to emerge. The occupiers insisted that they were capable of policing themselves (sound familiar?) and refused to allow police to investigate. But then reports of sexual assault began. Not only that, a “women only” tent was constructed to “protect” women in the occupation. That was enough for the NYPD to act. Within days it was over.
Ten years ago radicals occupied a park in New York City, today's "autonomous zone" in Seattle will likely suffer its same fate.

Apparently the development of a self-sufficient society is already in progress, with a community garden, armed guards, etc. The recent Tucker Carlson segment on the Chazistanis and the U.S./Chaz border is hilarious: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HBGQAHnGNo

The Minneapolis police department will be replaced by a new community-led public safety system following a vote from the city council on Friday.

Minneapolis City Council unanimously votes to ABOLISH its police department and replace it with a community-led public safety system - while NYC leaders push plan to cut $1 BILLION from the NYPD budget

The Minneapolis City Council on Friday unanimously passed a resolution to replace the city's police department with a community-led public safety system. The move comes days after a veto-proof majority of the council voted to disband the police department after the country erupted in protest over the killing of George Floyd, a black man who died when a white police officer knelt on his neck for nearly nine minutes. The Minneapolis vote was cast as New York City Council pushed to cut $1billion from the NYPD’s budget......The gigantic cut to the Big Apple police department's $6billion annual budget could see a reduction in the size of the force from 36,000 to 33,000, while removing functions like school safety and homeless outreach from the police.
And there you have it. Unless this decision is somehow overturned, at some point in the near future Minneapolis will no longer have a police force. Aside from one person belonging to the Green Party, all of the other council members are from the left-wing Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party (DFL), which is directly affiliated with the Democratic Party. I wonder if the brave souls in Chaz will be following suit next given that they're half way there already.

Under communism you don't need a police force. Under communism, you don't have a crime problem, you have a loyalty to the regime problem. So what you really need is a KGB type organisation.
