Yes, people should look at the beginning of the thread so they can notice that the person many thought had a personal vendetta against the UMD (Pelister) was in fact right all along on most counts. And this is while people like yourself and I were still prepared to believe that the UMD would come good eventually.

Well, the few UMD cheerleaders here are badly tainted and in serious denial. Many, of those clowns are not even making the 9 hour trip to Washington DC. - all lip service. Julie, my biggest concern tonight is the fact the UMD continue to advertise people that will not be able to attend, Friday Secretary of State Lawrence Eagleburger - $100 (dead). One, hour Macedonian tribute video?

Last year the same thing happened with PM Harper, a short video message accepting his Goce Delcev award.

UMD hoped to present the UMD International Freedom Award to Secretary Lawrence S. Eagleburger during the luncheon; however, he unfortunately passed away recently, and thus UMD will present a posthumous award to a member the Eagleburger family later this summer. Similar to suggestions that former Macedonian Foreign Minister Srgjan Kerim and current Macedonian Foreign Minister Antonio Milososki have offered, UMD supports their idea renaming a major street in Skopje after Secretary Eagleburger.

It also appears elections never took place. It seems that all that happened was another UMD man was added to the Board:

UMD’s Annual Board Meeting started the day’s events. Board members publicly reviewed UMD’s operational and financial progress. Dame Krcoski, UMD’s Regional Representative in Perth, secured a position on the UMD Board of Directors. UMD members and supporters engaged in a question and answer session with UMD’s Board.
