Who should make decisions for Macedonia?

I posed this question recently in another thread,

With most people against a referendum, and most people skeptical of the intentions of the government it seems we are at an impasse.

If the government cannot be trusted in regards to defending the name, and the citizenry of Macedonia cannot be trusted to defend the name, who should be trusted with this issue?

Your post sounds like you think there is a choice. The government is always the first line followed by NGOs and the people with the diaspora pulling up the rear. Each needs to watch over the other to prevent disaster.

Local issues are one thing it is questionable to what extent the diaspora should hold sway over issues that they will not live under but I will kick and scream if denied a say on the name issue because it goes to identity and by virtue of the blood in my veins I and every other Macedonian regardless of where they are has a given right by decent to have their say. I don’t care how many times a person from RoM says to me Stranec eden I want my say.

most people are against a referendum
That seems to be an oxymoron.
What about giving citizenship and voting rights to the people of diaspora? Is there a provision or process about it?

not that simple because most ethnic Macedonians in Diaspora were never citizens of the Republic of Macedonia and they would be excluded.
