How does your desktop looks like

I was working around to customize my GNOME desktop for a while.

I think I pimped it enough that it suits my needs and look good.

I would like to share it with. you. I would also like to see your desktop, if you are ready to share it

I will show few more later

        Wow. Really impressive!
If I use Windows, does that mean I prefer fat chicks who feel familiar?

You tell me Risto and I say fat chicks, why not.

I used to run Mandrake and Fedora for a while, but find Ubuntu very good.

It is the only thing that runs good on my Aspire anyways

            fat chicks.

Would you say the Ubuntu is more memory efficient than say XP? Better by ?%.
It definitely looks much better than when i was playing with it 2 years ago.

              I knew it

Ubuntu is quite easy to use, I am on Windows XP/Vista/2000 myself, now and again I am trying out Ubuntu just to see how easy it works, one or two more revisions and we have a pretty competitive product on par with Windows.

Ubuntu is aiming for ease of use.

Risto, I think that XP v.s. Ubuntu are almost on the same level.

When running XP, empty run make's it up to 400-450 MB, depending on configuration, how many services you have etc.

Ubuntu is on empty run about 350 MB.

                This speaking of my machine.

What I love on Ubuntu, is the fact that is free and I have the freedom to modify it as I want it, no matter what the modification is.

But XP it self is stable OS, thus good OS unlike the Vista shit.

Still I would choose Linux when I can.

By the way, the look and feel of Ubuntu is very easy to modify.

My desktop I showed above is not a standard Ubuntu desktop. But you can get it easy if you would like to.

                  I knew you know it

By now we have very good drivers. What I hope is that we will get more support for drivers from the hardware vendors.

Till now it is mostly community based drivers, but if the vendors care to support and maintain their own drivers for their products, would be even more better.

Than the Windows might lose much of it's users

We will see, Ubuntu is kicking ass for now.

                      Welcome Artemi.

Thanx for sharing your desktop with us. Your desktop is typical Vista desktop, hard to modify and very dangerous if you try it with themes which are full with malware.

I've run Ubuntu many times on the desktop platform, currently I'm back to running XP, but I am thinking of going all out Ubuntu soon.

Currently I'm going to be trying out Ubuntu, on the server side in the next few days. I've heard so much about it, and great reviews.

                          Wish me luck...

Well for my computer, definitely not lol, for my desktop I will be running the desktop version.

I am testing Ubuntu Server Version on some servers that I have acquired. I will definitely post and share experiences, tips and or errors.
