So basically there is two potential ways this is panning out:

    1. The DUI genuinely agrees to the changing of the COA to get away from the current links of communism, and agrees with the design because of it's links to Albanian families in the years gone by. This is unlikely that they would do that, considering there is basically never a common idea in Macedonian politics.

    2. The DUI doesn't agree with the changing of the COA to a Macedonian symbol as it is excluding Albanians and therefore would veto it but DPMNE struck a deal with them. DUI accepted it and is now trying to justify it's decision to go along with it but telling it's followers of it's (relatively scarce) links to Albanian families of yesteryear. This is the much more likely scenario.

This could be potentially catastrophic for the DUI if there supporters don't buy there justifications, but I think they should get through unscathed.

Changing the COA's of a country is a pretty big change, and DPMNE would of needed to really give them something good in return for backing them up, and that is a scary thought.

We will see the outcome shortly.

If dui accepts and supports dpmne expect a civil war of albanian parties in rom.Youd think they wouldn't support coa unless gruevski has sweetened the deal. But thats high treason of dui going in with dpmne.

I think there are two ways what happens next:

        1. There will be a slight change to the current proposal, that will present all minorities, or at least the ethnicitys that together represent 80% of the population.

        2. We wont have a new coat of arms.

I also agree that the new state Coat of Arms should have a wide acceptance by general population, otherwise why create more divisions among people, animosities towards a certain coat of arms, that may lead to its ultimate change in the future.
But I also see a need to have a Coat of Arms that has its roots in history, and that largely represents us the Macedonians, the creators of the Macedonian state.
