RoM Macedonians are dummies and Greeks bite the hand that feeds them

    First,,, RoM Macedonians are dummies!

Despite tensions between Skopje and Athens over a long-running country-name dispute, it seems that Macedonians have no problems with Greece when the holiday season comes around.

Second,,, Greeks are biting the hand that is feeding them!

I guess taking a nice drive to Croatia or Montenegro's gorgeous adriatic coastline is not worth the effort. Go where you are hated because that makes sense.

And the bankrupt starving malakas who are desperate for tourism are literally biting the hand that feeds them. My uncle once told me that if you feed a dog and it bites you then you either starve the motherf@#ker or confine it in a cage until it learns its lesson. Modern Greece is Macedonia's bitch. It's a damn shame Macedonians in RoM are stupid.

i have to agree with that statement 110%.Why can't people go to other countries in the balkans beside greece????Yes virginia it's stupidity & mental state of the people.
Someone would make fortune selling travel books for dummies especially macedonian ones.

This type of stupidity angers me more then any other. I am from Ohrid, and I know Ohridzani take it very seriously in comparison to say Skopjani and Bitolcani. They see it this way, if Skopjani go to greece they are helping to support the greek economy instead of the Ohrid economy which is completely dependent upon tourism. So Ohrid is good enough for the Dutch, Serbs, and even a significant number of greeks if you can believe it, but its not good enough for Skopjani they have to go to greece because its more affordable then Ohrid. Yea going to greece is more affordable then going to Ohrid, and even if it wasn't it cant possibly be that big of a difference to warrant such a disgusting show of stupidity. How the hell can you not be offended to go on vacation to a place not only who says you dont exist as an ethnic group today, but also who steals our history, tortured and killed our people, and has and still commits a slew of other human rights violations against us. You have to have not only a moral deficiency but also a mental one to opt to take your hard earned money to your enemy instead of to your own people. Ohrid is beautiful and it can offer pretty much everything greece can, and if you must have the sea then go to freaking Croatia, or Montenegro, even Italy is not far away and is quite affordable. This type of behavior just confirms that we are a brain dead nation who deserves much worse then what we are currently getting. Americans wont vacation at a place if the people dont greet them in a polite enough manner, then we have freaking Fyromci, literally being abused WHILE being on vacation at a place that hates them and they just keep on going. Then tell me that we are too "harsh" on them. Just had this argument with someone the other day, thankfully it was over the phone, because if it was face to face I would have slapped the ever loving piss out of him. It never ceases to amaze me the lengths that they go to, to justify something totally unjustifiable. 500,000, that like a third of all Macedonians, 1 out of 3 or on vacation in Greece, really? Then we expect them to stand up to albanian abuse, look at them, they are pathetic, they cant even drive an extra hour to avoid this shame.

Any news from USA about the Greek Prime Minister meeting with Obama and discussing the name issue?

Gocka, I'm with you on this one.
It's one thing for nashite to visit across the border their ancestral villages but its an entirely different matter in my opinion to vacation in that land of the deplorable.
Unfortunately, it's not just the Skopjani at fault here...many of our diaspora also get a hard-on for the greek isles.

I think it's nothing to do with stupidity as such but more of the serious problem of inferiority complex that many Macedonians have.

For me personally, Ohrid and much of Macedonia has such a mystical beauty that I have no desire to go elsewhere but many Macedonians are looking for something 'greener' over the hill, something more sophisticated that they believe is lacking in Macedonia...it's really pathetic.

when the travel industry identifies Macedonia as one of these newly "discovered" tourism pearls only then will half the diaspora morons wake up to themselves.

I know countless who took European vacations before they ever bothered stepping foot in Macedonia, preferring to walk the shit strewn streets of Paris, or to be pick-pocketed in Rome...and when finally visiting Macedonia they've been 'surprised' by how good it was and they couldn't get enough...

Oh there is a lot to be said about some lovely salt water destinations. A holiday in Ohrid for RoMacedonians would be akin to me visiting another place in Australia. Which barely feels like a holiday to be honest.

But going to Greek holiday destinations, just to get abused, is utterly ridiculous. The Adriatic is fine by me.

I have met some boastful Macedonians talking about their visits to Greece fro holidays. The look on my face did not seem to reward them sufficiently.

It should also be said almost all RoMacedonians go to Greece and do not feel they are visiting their fellow (underprivileged) Macedonians. They go there to enjoy Greek culture (whatever that is) and talk about how cool they are afterwards.

It's like going to the footy in Melbourne to watch the Crows lose....doesn't make any sense, you can watch them lose at home!!

The Macedonians from the Republic should stop going into greece for holidays as we can further cripple the greek economy, and call it the silent EMBARGO or Karma’s a BITCH
The Macedonians originates it, the Bulgarians imitate it and the Greeks exploit it!

Just to make it clear, I am against going
to greece but all my familiy living in macedonia are going.

As I was not this year in macedonia I can not confirm but
they told me the prices in Ohrid are two or three times higher
                            than in Greece!!

The last years the ohridcani have somewhat exaggerated it.

And the infrastructure is also in a bad condition.
But they want to change this the next years.

Travelling to gReece does not come up as my number one option however Italy, France and Croatia fair much higher.

When I tell some greeks I am Macedonian I get a dunce glazed look. To be confronted by a whole country is not very appealing. Maybe if I go, I'll disguise myself as a gypsy so I can blend right in.
