Beer Fest Skopje (Pivo Land)

This years Beer Fest will feature some of the best Singers from Stari Kraj and the Balkans.

I dont think we can beat Belgrade's record of 900,000 visitors but surley we can beat the 300,000 mark. Its good to see quality singers and DJ's rocking up, Prilep has raised the bar very high lets hope these Beer Festivals in Skopje,Prilep and Ohrid can get bigger and better each year.

This years singers will include Goce Arnaudov,Selimova Zelcevski,SuperHiks,Jazz Singer Toni Kitanovski, MonteNegran Rambo Amadeus,Croatian singer Josipa Lisac,Bosnian Band Zabranjeno Pusenje and many others.

This year there will be 50 beers to choose from world wide.

Третиот по ред фестивал на пивото Пиволенд годинава ќе се одржува од 15 до 19 септември на познатата скопска локација - тврдината Кале. Петдневната журка ќе биде исполнета со многу пиво и добра музика. Минатата година, носени од девизата "Дојдов, видов, испив" 150.000 посетители го окупираа гурманскиот викенд со пиво - Пиволенд 2009. Тоа беше добра причина организаторите да ја продолжат традицијата и годинава. Овојпат слатко-горко искушение ќе бидат 50-те домашни и странски видови пиво и седумте фестивалски бини на кои ќе се појават многу звучни музички имиња. За незаборавна атмосфера на Кале ќе се погрижат ди-џеите од Кошин, Рамбо Амадеус, Забрањено пушење, Ортодокс келтс, КУД Идиоти, Чалгија саунд систем, Гоце Арнаудов, Суперхикс. Селимова-Желчевски, ДНО, Тони Китановски, Јосипа Лисац...

First Prilep now Skopje, in the same year, Macedonians love there pivo.

No offense taken Rogi, the Pivo Fest in Skopje has been around for a while but it didnt really kick in until a few years ago.

Prilep did a fantastic job hosting the Pivo Fest there, dont forget that Ohrid hosted a Pivo Fest not so long ago.

Rogi, Its all good i think this will be good for the country, i went to last years Pivo Fest in Skopje and it was pretty good.

Две илјади хектолитри пиво се испиени на Третиот фестивал на пивото „Пиволенд 2010“ што се одржа од 15 до 19 септември во Скопје. На Фестивалот беа понудени 50 видови пиво од 20 пиварници. Покрај пивото, испиени се и 500 хектолитри вода и сокови.

Организаторите соопштијат дека годинашното издание на Фестивалот го посетиле 400.000 луѓе што е двојно повеќе од лани.

i went to last years Pivo Fest in Skopje and it was pretty good.

Prolet, how well organized is it from your personal perspective...is there a good variety of exhibitors and what about the availability of good food...

That's the sort of thing I want to see more of in Macedonia, something that will take advantage of our access to good clean water which is vital for brewing beer, we're making some inroads into good wines but I feel that we're not making the most of our great produce, our fruit, vegetables, farmed livestock, fish and game.

Phoenix, Its fantastic very well organized. Lots of people and every beer and even sponsors have their own stand and people can choose which beer they want to drink. The prices are indeed very good, the cheapest beer was 30 denars for half a liter of Gorsko Pivo (Skopsko owns Gorsko)

The other beers like Heineken,Corona,Amstel only cost around 80 denars which is about $2

They have the music bands there which are very good, this year they had some very good ones from everywhere and there are many stands with Skara and you can choose what you want to eat at a very reasonable price. Last year they drank all the beer and ate all the Skara this year they doubled it which is even better. Lets hope they get better and better each year.

Either Way Skopje and Prilep have proven to be brilliant hosts this year and it would be good to see a city like Bitola come on board since they make good beer there.

There is also a Vino Fest in Skopje which is somewhere around October when it gets a bit colder and its hosted in the city square (Plostad Makedonija) Im not much of a wine drinker but we got a good bottle between us and i got cooked chest nuts (Koshtani) it went down really well. It cost 50 denars entry and you get a free wine glass (Which you get to keep) with 2 coupons of any wine you want to try.

It wont take long till they bring a Rakijada in, there is already a Rakija Bar at the Stara Skopska Charshija lol

I have tasted Ckopcko (Skopsko:P) ..and it is really great!

200st Oktoberfest is on here,but i am not able to visit (besides it is too crowded and too expensive ...)

So maybe next year i should travel to Macedonia! I believe the combination of beer and the joyfull Macedonian music would be superb!

FF, There were three Beer Fests this year, The first one was in Prilep the second one in Ohrid and the last was in Skopje. Ohrid hosted their Beer Fest for the first time, they are held in different periods and are hosted by the cities separately.

Oktoberfest in Munich is something i would love to experience aswell as the Beer Fest in Belgrade which had 900,000 visitors this year. I heard in the first few days alone in Munich this year, they had over 3 million visitors but they are fanatics in Germany they drink Beer for breakfast.

Phoenix, They had these Kranjski Kolbasi at the Pivo Fest last year they were very good, they have all sorts of Skara i even tried the Kebapi there.
