SOM, Ako ne slushat ke manime so tupajnci, Nikola Todorov has laid down the law they can ignore it however when the parents start getting 1000 euro fines im sure they will reconsider. Just so you think they'll ignore it, the Sudski Izvrshiteli will have a field day taking their money.

If citizens of Macedonia refuse to learn the official Macedonian language of the state, then they don't deserve to hold the right to citizenship.

The lunacy in all of this is that many of these children are born in Macedonia, whereas in Australia, even as an arriving immigrant if you do not attend the compulsory English language classes it could be detrimental to your aspirations for permanent residency, let alone citizenship.

We let these people get away with way too much, Macedonians need to take Macedonia back into their own hands, like any other self-respecting nation out there.

The Australian Model is a good one for ROM to adopt in relation to citizenship/permanency/visas. Alternatively I don't mind Putin's approach in Russia as below:
Putin signs Decree to deport foreigners
        Tuesday, 19 January 2010

The economic crisis and the increased unemployment forced Russia’s Prime Minister Vladimir Putin to sign a decree for
expulsion of 700.000 foreign citizens from Russia.
Among them 50.000 are Serbs. Media in Belgrade said that Putin’s decision will affect Serbs, who live in Russia, if
Serbian companies fail to employ them, when they come back home.
So far, 5000 Serbs have arrived back in their homeland.

On Delchev's sarcophagus you can read the following inscription: "We swear the future generations to bury these sacred bones in the capital of Independent Macedonia. August 1923 Illinden"

they dont want to learn macedonian but would be the first to complain if they were refused government jobs where macedonian would be the language of communication. sad to say that some albanians are beoming nazis and making demnds that are a pretext to armed action. i think any ngo proposing such a treacherous policyshould be asked to explain the actions and then expelled. this is a dangerous development and stinks of anti macedonian propaganda it would be a greek and us initiative of that i have no doubt. the usa is trying to destabilise macedonia at every oppourtunity, divide and rule is the imperial axiom.

I find it so funny reading about the fantasy proposed by some concerning the "age-old" and "traditional" friendship that Serbia and Greece have with each other, and with the apparent "big brother" in Russia.

Greek-speaking Romaioi practically begged the Turks for help against the Slavic-speaking states in the Balkans.

Russia never came to save Kosovo for the Serbs.

Greece recognised Croatia early on during the Yugoslav break-up, so long as Germany did not recognise Macedonia.

And then you have uneducated 16 year olds at sports matches talking about the Orthodox "brotherhood" between Serbs and Greeks.

Macedonia would do well to steer clear from all such "friendships", we didn't need them in the past, and we don't need them now. Macedonians need to secure Macedonia, for the Macedonians, and treat as brothers all citizens of Macedonia, regardless of their ethnic background, so long as they recognise and respect the Macedonian state and the hosts, the Macedonian people.

Despite several matters that need to be addressed, let's face it, had it been anybody else other than Gruevski and co. in power one can only wonder how much worse the situation could have been.
