Greece is a European democratic country.
When you achieve this status, then you can judge.

It's interesting that you say that. You are correct to an extent. The Greek people have been radicalised, and it is the people who are causing grief, but these people are not like other people. They are shaped by what their omnipresent media tells them to be.Originally posted by Traveller View PostYou have to worry about Greek people not Albania's goverment. We are causing you suffering (if you are suffering), the people not our politicians ,not Karamanlis, not Dora, blaim us, nobody else
In many ways, the blame does lie on the majority of the Greek population, for accepting the mind-influence which their masters Dora and Karaman have over them. The sooner Greece recognises that it is a multiethnic Balkan country, the better the mental health of the population and the more stable the politics will be in the region.

What does Bushav sound like? lolOriginally posted by fatso View PostYour beginning to sound like Bushav. Albania does not need Greece. They are simply playing the Kosovo card...it's plain to see.
Albania is definitely being played by Greece. I am not sure if Albania has officially recognised Macedonia at all. They are using an 'informal bilateral recognition' to keep the Macedonians happy, while they can maneuver back and forth depending on which position they can milk at the time.
Like it or not for them, Kosovo relations are linked with Albanian relations, and perhaps it is something they haven't properly considered. SImilarly, Albanian relations with Macedonia should and will eventually involve the Macedonian minority in Albania. Perhaps they will end up at a stage where they can not maneuver between two points at once. This will be interesting to watch, and perhaps it will happen soon.

Guys, this news source is from an Albanian site. I don't know how trustworthy it is, or who is behind the article.

They need Greece to ratify Albania's accession to NATO in the Greek Parliament, so they are playing Greece's game for as long as they need to be in Greece's good books.
After that, when when they are in, they will change their stance to support Macedonia's name if Macedonia to continue with their Electricity needs via the Lakes, etc.
Then when their EU accession time comes, they will again pander to Greece's needs and change their stance on the name, etc etc.
The Albanian policy is about Albanian interests, nothing else.

Since when is blackmail acceptable?Originally posted by mbourdes View PostThe Albanian policy is looking after number 1.
I think this is acceptable in modern society as long as all parties can play.
The politics will always be debatable, however it's the end result that counts.

They are not denying anybody or anything.
They just have to tow the company line. What is so hard to understand about that?
Just like members on this forum have to obey the rules, so too does Albania, now that it is part of the European Alliance.

What are the accepted norms? Denying the right of the Macedonians to self-identify by their native name?
Think carefully before you answer here Akritas.

The Albanians are joining Europe. They have to fall into line with the accepted norms of the community.

So can we confirm 100% that this event regarding the Albanian change of stance in relation to Macedonia is true?
Are they going to also change the name of their Macedonian minority?
Albanians, draw the line in the sand if this is your intention, but be definitive, let us know where we all stand, and let us take it from there with all positions defined.
Then, let's play the game.

Russia definitely knows how to look after its own interests. Basically, they have the strength to defy The West, which I like. Kosovo was such a lie. The West made monkeys and fools out of all of us there. Lying about mass graves. The well documented "staged suffering" of Albanians ...etc. Russia is simply taking a stand on principle, and I can't blame it for that.Originally posted by I of Macedon View PostRussia generally places their own interests first. I'm not saying its good or bad - but its definately the Russian way (always has been), and that is perhaps how Russia works around panslavism (I'm only assuming of course).
