In 1925, the Greek government published the "Abecedar" (in the Latin alphabet) in the Bitola-Lerin dialect by a specially appointed scientific committee composed of Georgios Sagiaxis (ethnographer, poet), Iosif Lazarou (philologist) and I. Papazahariou (philologist). All three of them were Vlachs, originally from Bitola, who moved to Salonika. -
Lazarou and Papazahariou sound more Macedonian to me, Lazarou especially.I know of two tragic histories in the world- that of Ireland, and that of Macedonia. Both of them have been deprived and tormented.Comment
