    Traditional clothing

I just returned from Japan and was often pleasantly surprised to see some Japanese wearing their traditional clothing and not even being looked at strangely. It was great to see and I wonder if anyone would even think it vaguely normal to do in Macedonia. It is clearly an anachronism, but I think it is a real identity affirming action.

Anyway, it was nice to see.

Doubt anyone would be wearing that in Macedonia in the 'cities', though I do recall seeing plenty of older women wearing traditional Macedonian clothing in Kotori

I was told by a friend a few years back that people from the village his family originates from in Misleshevo still wear the old traditional clothing.

That's because they probably don't know what century it is!
