On Delchev's sarcophagus you can read the following inscription: "We swear the future generations to bury these sacred bones in the capital of Independent Macedonia. August 1923 Illinden"

actually we have already come off worse. This year Greece a its best tourist turnout in years, while Ohrid had its lowest. So good job Fyromci, keep it up you single handedly helped your enemy rebuild their economy and destroyed your own. Then blame it on the west when your economy collapses in the next two years, but dont expect billions in bail outs because there wont be any for you.

Looks like the greeks will have some more complaining to do. I hear there will be a new Casino near flamingo and The Princess Hotel that will employ 4000 people.

Casinos are foreign owned therefore profits are a leakage but at least the locals can find employment. Good for my cousins etc.

Gevgelija will look like a mini Los Vagas soon the way they are going and they are aiming at the drahmas.

          LOL

And from what i read and hear, the grks only go to Gevgelijia when going into macedonia. Some times maybe Bitola, but thats it.

And they spend their money on grk built casino's that pocket grk business men.

Its good sleepy gevgelijia is booming i suppose, but the rest of macedonia is turning into shit

          Serves those idiots right

The arse kissing to ignorant and arrogant Greeks in places like this was intolerable when I was there a few years ago.

if they were making a buck for themselves that might be allright but it sounds more arse kissing for nothing.

I don't think they are owned by greeks but they are definitely required to speak greek.

Yes stupidity reigns supreme over there.

Funny story: I wanted to go into the Jugo casino Gevgelija when on holiday in 2005. Speaking to the people in the foyer in Macedonian they thought I was a local so they refused me entry. I complained showing my passport. Realising their mistake and not wanting to own up to it, they called the manager. When I explained the story to him he said Sorry you can't come in cause you’re not greek

Yes as I said stupidity reigns supreme over there.
