A MACEDONIAN priest found guilty of grabbing the throat of a parishioner outside a Rockdale church has been placed on a 12-month good behaviour bond, a court has heard.
Naum Despotovski, 66, pleaded guilty to the charge of common assault, but was not formally convicted and put on a section 10 bond by Magistrate Jacqueline Trad in Sutherland Local Court last Tuesday.
Police facts tendered to court state Mr Despotovski was upset with the victim Zoran Bockaroski for taking photos on a mobile phone outside St Petka Macedonian Orthodox Church on November 17, 2012.
Mr Bockaroski told police that he was chased to a car park opposite the church in Railway Parade and pinned against a fence.
‘‘The accused grabbed the throat area of the victim using both hands and squeezed tightly,’’ according to police facts tendered in court.
During this time Mr Despotovski repeatedly asked for the victim to give him his mobile phone.
Mr Despotovski told police he never physically touched Mr Bockaroski but said he was upset about photos being taken.
‘‘I was very angry and upset that he was taking photos of my wife but I never touched him,’’ he told police in an interview.
He told police he approached Mr Bockaroski and said, ‘‘Give me the phone, clear the phone.’’
A second charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm was withdrawn by the prosecution and dismissed.

I have a fundamental problem with the Macedonian Orthodox Church, for parading as a non-profit organisation that does NOTHING for the community.
Whilst Macedonian youth go to waste on drugs, drink and gambling, our church is frivolously wasting their money to boost the egos of the pigs involved.
That aside, I happened to speak to the arresting copper a few days after this incident, who told me that he struggled to pull Naum off. The reason behind this? Naum isn't allowed to enter St Petka church. The attached hall was holding a drama made by Dusan Risteski (ironically, teaching Macedonians not to hate each other) and Naum attended. Zoran saw him and told him he shouldn't be there, he's not allowed in the church and started taking photos of him.
Did Zoran deserve it? I dont know, really. I wish we'd all just get along.

Sory Bij I had to do it, the world needs more laughter.
I no longer can take certain things seriously anymore, and the Macedonian Church is one of them.Last edited by Bill77; 04-18-2013, 06:00 AM.http://www.macedoniantruth.org/forum/showthread.php?p=120873#post120873

Sounds like Naum wasn't meant to be at the church, possibly banned/restraining order? So obviously got irate when someone was taking photos. Is this one of Petars Churches? On Delchev's sarcophagus you can read the following inscription: "We swear the future generations to bury these sacred bones in the capital of Independent Macedonia. August 1923 Illinden"
