Well they do also listen to Macedonian music, but they listen to more Serbian music for a few reasons one is that there is just more Serbian music then Macedonian (modern music) like pop rap and of course turbo folk, well that what they say but that's bullshit because there is plenty of Macedonian music they just don't know any of the artists because the Serbian ones are more popular even in Macedonia. Second reason is they love the slutty music videos on pink (a Serbian music channel) Lastly they do it because they all do it so its like a circle. Honestly I don't get it either. Our language sounds better our music is more thoughtful our artists are more talented and ITS OURS.

Ah I see you are very familiar with our lot.The NJ diaspora is in a very very sad state. My father had to get into a fist fight in order to ban the Serbian music in the cultural club. Yes many of them are recent immigrants many are illegal too. 90% of men work construction 75% of the women and girls prefer Hispanics over Macedonians. %95 percent know more Serbian songs than Macedonian ones. Almost none of them care for history or politics. Almost all of them go to Macedonia every summer (the younger ones who are legal and can travel). Collectively they are pretty useless and rarely help each other. They are very jealous and love to gossip, they usually avoid each other when possible. Yes almost all of them are from the Republic. There has to be over 20,000 of them in NJ. Oddly enough Ive never heard an official figure but NJ is quite populated so even if we were 50,000 it would be less than 1% of the population of NJ. I think we can pretty much write off the Macedonian population in NJ as a lost cause. Meto (UMD) is from Garfield as well and I got to tell you, he wasn't the brightest growing up, in fact many of us even thought he was a little weird. Ah the Christmas and Easter igranki, gossip/showing off contest.
