On Delchev's sarcophagus you can read the following inscription: "We swear the future generations to bury these sacred bones in the capital of Independent Macedonia. August 1923 Illinden"

All three parts of Macedonia have different dialects...but yeah they should lose the Serbian lingo. It's actually rare to find people who know the old dialect.

Over in Perth it's a completely different story. All the old Maco's have mixed English with Macedonian. My grandparents say words like - 'streetot (for street), parkot (for park), karot (for car), bira (for beer) and doktorot (for doctor) etc etc. It's actually quite funny haha!

I would say English influence is far worse than any perceived Serbian influence in RoMacedonia.

My brother asked my auntie in Maco for some "keksa" and my auntie rightfully replied; "sto e keksa?"

I find that the dilects differ around RoMaco, so much so people from the east could not understand those from the west etc.

I was given examples of how they would say things in Strumica and I (from Gevgelisko)couldn't understand some of the words.

I'd say they are equally just as bad.

If you have time read the thread about Macedonian Sayings/Slang, you'll laugh your head off!
