Macedonian Policeman who shot two Albanians in Gostivar

An update on the incident earlier this year. It seems he found his day in court, yet the murderers of the five kids are nowhere to be seen. The policeman, Jakim Trifunovski, is claiming self-defence. Albanian witnesses are stating the opposite. Some gaps in the Albanian stories.

As someone pointed out on another thread the albanians are getting away with it.What kind of hollow justice is that it's called macedonian justice.I'd hate to be the family that lost their child. Also the policeman unless he has got witnesses the albanians are ganging up on him.

The effects of the Badinter principle, I'm sure!
On Delchev's sarcophagus you can read the following inscription: "We swear the future generations to bury these sacred bones in the capital of Independent Macedonia. August 1923 Illinden"

yeah they are immune to our laws but if we do it to them they cry they are the victim. It's all too ridiculous for words.Someone from a democratic country might well ask what is really going on with these principles applying the albanians are getting away with murder.

          Update:
Though the maximum punishment for murder in Macedonia is 15 years,Jakim Trifunovski, the policeman that killed two albanians in a parking lot to save his daughter's life was today found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment."And justice for all" indeed.

Look at the way they guard his colleague, with AK's and bullet-proof vests, like he's public enemy number one.Shame on you,oh Macedonia.

Somewhere in Macedonia,a little girl is going to grow up without her father because he did what every parent would do - he saved his daughter's life.I hope you're happy,Grujo.

This is sad news indeed and more political action needs to be taken to change the situation. I would like to see the Macedonian Human Rights organisations take an active role in seeking justice for this man.

I want to follow up on this, but the transcripts from the case cannot be accessed online. Knowing Macedonia, they probably can't be accessed anywhere.

I can't find the text I read couple of weeks ago.
But, allegedly evidence and witnesses says this guy shot them after the whole argument was over and they were moving away from the scene.

Yeah I read that. I also read that the witnesses were part of the group that was attacking them. Without the court transcripts, its impossible to know what actually happened.

We all know what actually happened, the same thing happened to him that is happening to the entire country - now the entire country is being infected with fleas.....a consequence of sleeping with dogs!.......and who's to blame? The whole fucking lot of us Macedonians for letting it get to this point, and if I hear any more lame excuses such as "I'm in Australia/America/England and I can't do anything"...I'll tear someone a new arsehole! Enough of the finger pointing, blame apportionment, piss weak excuses and justifications for the current state of affairs! If the same time and energy was put into solving the problems as it is arguing and commenting about them, it wouldn't have got this far and we'd be having far different conversations! MT message to all Macedonians....."Wake the Fuck Up, take responsibility and get off your arses and do something useful"

Its a shame this guy wasn't a shiptar. He would have got off a lot lighter sentence. Come to think of it he should have changed is name to Berisha and escaped into Kosovo with all the other terrorists, that way he would get off scot free.

This walking around on egg shells because of the derelict shiptars in Macedonia makes me sick.

i don't get it this guy shot them after they tried to rape his daughter exactly what a normal person would do.But the macedonian govt is too scared to protect the macedonian & protect the albanians in case there is a 2001 war. What is there left to cling to when you are rooted(pardoned the pun) regarding ROM they have no soveregnity agains't the albanians.Does macedonian law really extend to albanians. What they get amnesty for shooting us we get life.
