Korca is the largest city in that region and most of the Macedonian villages gravitate around it, that's why it is popular destination for our people, to continue with their education, look for jobs etc.

I'm not able to give some estimation, but obviousy, from rational point of view the decission to open Macedonian TV station in Korca says enough.

I would like this to happen in Greek occupied Macedonia as well.

Bratot, My opinion is that Macedonians and Vlachs make up the majority in that region.

I think Gjorgjija Atanasovski would be heavily envolved with this TV Station, he is the one who invests the most in the Macedonians in Albania. He opened up an office in Tirana just recently so i wouldnt be surprised if he had something to do with this Tv Station.

My personal opinion is that more effort has to be put into Albania from our diaspora, we really need to consolidate all gains that the Macedonian minority has made in Albania, things such as schools, ethnic Macedonian mayors and media outlets.

At a time when our identity is at huge risk from attack from both inside and outside elements its important to establish a 'beachhead' in one of the neighbouring regions.

Congratulations to the Macedonians in Albania, excellent news. The obstacles that are put in the way of Macedonian self-determination are markedly less in Albania than those in Greece and Bulgaria. Let's hope the Macedonians can further build on this foundation.

We need to take advantage of a very good situation we are in right now in regardss to the excellent run of human rights and progress for the macedonians in albania, who knows what will happen in the future with albanian nationalism in albania, so better to act now ASAP.

As much as i hate to say it, it looks like we have very little to no chance in helping our people in shit hole bulgaria thanks to our government signing a treacherous agreement to "ignore" macedonians in bulgaria and the fact that a lot of the members of the current government are bugaroman sell outs. And wel all know what obstacles we face in dealing with donkeys like the grks and their supporters the EU.....

Lets start turning our attention and resources to albania, were it is obvious we can get good results.

You're right, Prolet. Atanasoski is involved. TV Kristal most of the time is rebroadcasting TV Sonce's signal until ready to start own programming. MHRMI/AMHRC are also heavily involved. They will soon send funds to pay for some operational costs. All of you guys can help by donating to MHRMI and AMHRC. These two organization regularly fund activities of the Macedonians in Albania and elsewhere.

Number of Macedonians in Albania are estimated at about 200,000 but due to poor organization are not involved in politics. That is about to change and they need all the help they can get.
