    Solun,

You were right in the Ivo thread, we should not detract from it. So, what do you think about the name "Turkish Republic of Athens" for your country?
If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

The Revolution was in the minds and hearts of the people; a change in their religious sentiments, of their duties and obligations...This radical change in the principles, opinions, sentiments, and affections of the people was the real American Revolution. John Adams

Ignorance is what carries the Modern Greek pseudo-argument. They prey upon the poorly educated and those who simply don’t know where to look to make an informed decision regarding the matter, if there is even the interest to do so, given how dumbed down the true situation is in the media (most (decent) people are concerned with the suffering of others). They use politically biased statistics that will forever contradict objective sources, misinterpretations of evidence, and other juvenile tactics common among past populations who were also guided by fanatical nationalism (not patriotism, not by a long shot).

If there is such a thing as Greek cultural continuity, why is it after, what, 19 years they haven’t been able to convincingly demonstrate what should be such a simple thing? Relevant debate and discussion require an honesty that the typical Greek bullshit artist doesn’t seem to be capable of.

Oh how nice, when I call Greeks as Greeks, I do it because I recognise them as Greeks, and not out of some plastic "courtesy". Spot the difference.
