And if you accept that as true - do you accept that some people who call themselves pure Greeks by genus - have in fact a completely different origin?

And if that is true - is it fair to question what modern Greeks are writing about themselves?

And if it is reasonable and fair to question them on this point - has the true diversity and origins of Greece been given the short hand treatment? Is every bit of the cultural and ethnic diversity of modern Greece bound to be impoverished by the formalistic coordinates of modern Hellenism?

Greece is a modern democratic country with a multicultural population. The overwhelming majority of the population is ethnically Greek.
Yes it is true that other countries have a hotch potch mixture of races and religions. Due to good sound government policy, Greece has prospered and grown much to the envy of its comparatively backward Balkan neighbours.

The Macedonian Republic is a multi-ethnic democratic State - where all minorities are acknowledged and recognized.

We cannot say the same for the modern Greek State.

Que? No can do amigo, Macedonia was a kingdom in Ancient times, the city states were some kind of weird democracies, there was no kingdom in southern Balkans until 1830 when the Bavarian King Otto the Hellene established Greece.
