Default Ethnic Map of the Macedonians of the Aegean, 1946!

Here is an interesting map showing the area which is inhabited by ethnic Macedonians, the map is from the Greek Civil war.

Please notice the thick black line, which according to the legend corresponds to the ETHNIC BORDER OF THE MACEDONIANS.

Source: The map was published in the Yugoslav newspaper Borba, August 26th 1946.

Was this map used by the Partizans as a basis for identifying territories that should be liberated from Greek-occupation?

It is interesting where Stefan Verkovich claims that the area around Thessaly is the point which separates the Slav and Greek worlds. I guess by 1946, anybody around those parts would have been under severe pressure to be Neohellenized and would have lost their native culture after decades of racist assimilation.

Yes, we do consider Chalkidiki as a part of Aegean Macedonia.

It is an historical border, from ancient times until the end of the Ottoman empire.

I do not have information regarding that SoM, but it is very likely if you go by the maps. Maybe TriKilaBanani has more information regarding this?
