Supposedly a contemporary of Alexander's time. He wrote some Epigrams I found online. Here is one of them:

Whoever sings of the tomb of Macedonian Alexander, say that both continents are his monument.

Very interesting find, and Alexander is named as he should as Macedonian Alexander. 'The Great' is a much later construct.
