They were able to keep their language for about 2000 years and then all of a sudden when the Ottomans enters the scene they forget it, why havent we Macedonians lost our language and adopted Turkish instead??

How could you lose yr language when the idiom was spoke throughout the region with no Turkish influence?In the Karamanlides though they became isolated sourounded by converted Muslims who adher to the Ottoman way of life........4 to 500 years is a long time lad.
