Alexander the Great?With long dark hair and beard?Not to mention the curved Saracen sword (a.k.a. jatagan)?Looks more like some Ottoman pasha rather than an ancient ruler of the known world.The author of the painting must have been on drugs.

It was not odd for ancient heroes to be represented in contemporaenous fashion. Take Jesus for example, he is represented in many ways etc...

Coat of arms of ATG is the last one from the left. Do you see similarity between this emblem and the Macedonian coat of arms?

I think here you meant to say the image on the right (the lion).
