News has now come that the new parliment has been formed and this is official.

Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski submitted late Friday to the Parliament a list of nominees for and the program of new government.

Incumbent Vice-Premiers Zoran Stavreski and Vladimir Pesevski (VMRO-DPMNE) are keeping their positions, as it is the case with their party colleagues Gordana Jankuloska and Elizabeta Kanceska - Mileska, namely the ministers of interior and culture respectively.

Incumbent Macedonia's Ambassador to the European Union Nikola Popovski is to take over the helm of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while former Education Minister Nikola Todorov will become new head of the Ministry of Health. Pance Kralev will now take his place at the Ministry of Education and Science. Ivo Ivanovski, Mile Janakievski will also resume their duties as Ministers of Administration, Information Society; Transport & Communications respectively.

Socialist Party member Ljupco Dimovski also stays at the helm of the Ministry of Agriculture, while incumbent deputy minister for labor and social policy Spiro Risteski is to take the ministerial position in the new government.

VMRO-DPMNE coalition partner DUI will give two Vice-Premiers - for European Affairs; Framework Agreement Implementation - Teuta Arifi and Musa Xhaferi respectively. Valon Saracini is to take the office of the Economy Minister, while Fatmir Besimi will become the new Defense Minister.

Abdulakim Ademi, Nevzat Bejta and Blerim Bexheti are to be the new ministers of environment, local self-government and justice.

Nezdet Mustafa, Hadi Neziri and Vele Samak will resume their duties as ministers without portfolio.

According to the law the new government's composition should be approved by the Parliament in 15 days upon reception of the list of new cabinet members

Here is an article relating to Musa Xhaferi, not sure of the date:

    PHP Code:
    http://www.shkoder.net/fjala/naac/naac4.htm
Mr. Xhaferi, who has spent roughly 20 years studying and living abroad, hails from Ali Ahmeti’s Democratic Union for Integration which is largely made up by members of the now disbanded National Liberation Army (NLA). Speaking of a new era for the Albanians in Macedonia, he emphasized that finally the Albanians population there will no longer allow to be treated as second class citizens.............

The Deputy Prime Minister echoed his party’s resolve to “take the processes all the way to the end”. Stating that in the past the Albanians in Macedonia were subjected to grave injustices, which according to him became a catalyst in bringing about the military struggle, Mr. Xhaferi stressed that positive change has been very slow.............
An individual with links to terrorists who basically justifies the raising of arms against his own country - based on lies. And he is also the one in charge of the Framework Agreement Implementation! Great choice, Mr. Gruevski. Keep building this plastic 'bi-lingual' nation. You still have the support of a lot of deluded 'patriots'.
In the name of the blood and the sun, the dagger and the gun, Christ protect this soldier, a lion and a Macedonian.

          SoM,

Your link discusses the NAAC. I understand that UMD has links with them.

What is next with Gruevski and his incompetent Macedonian government? maybe his next step will be inviting the Albanian terrorists at his home for dinner, or maybe allowing the Albanians in Tetovo to gain independence from Macedonia. Se sto e mozno so budali lugje.

Are you referring to the below statement made by Rogi some time back, after the UMD announced that in 2001, Albanian extremists attacked Macedonian police officers and burned villages, demanding more rights in education, employment, and political representation - making it out like the terrorists were justified in the actions, and that they didn't have adequate rights in education, employment and political representation?

But this quote was written to be politically correct, so as not to harm relations with the National Albanian American Council (NAAC), a relationship which was 'recommended' by highly placed contacts (in fact it was a suggestion of the State Department, as well as the UK Mission to the UN), and the opportunity for some 'joint PR'.

That and they have been mentioned in at least one UMD press release. But my sources tell me that they have a close relationship.

We do have strong far-right wing parties, but they are always called extremists.

DCH, I don't think the right-leaning parties market themselves well enough. The question is - why not? What is stopping people like Strasho from going to villages, towns and cities to express his views, discuss his policies, and rally support? What was stopping Todor Petrov from forming his own party and doing the same, before he admitted his support for Gruevski, like so many other lackeys?
