    Old Macedonian Online

"Old Church Slavonic Online" is what they call it. Uncle Google reminded me about this recently and it was interesting to read again. The lessons are so interesting.

Everybody goes out of their way to deny the Macedonian people's obvious right to this enduring and glorious gift to the world.

For the benefit of posterity ....

To my understanding there were two variants of the language. One from Ohrid and one from Preslav. Hence why it isn't referred to as either Macedonian or Bulgarian by most historians and linguists.
I know of two tragic histories in the world- that of Ireland, and that of Macedonia. Both of them have been deprived and tormented.

If we are talking about Kiril & Metodi, then we are talking about Macedonian. Let's never forget the old Bulgarians were Turkic. Anything they have or had is because of Macedonians!

I wish Macedonians asserted themselves more.

Old Church Slavonic was a standardized version for all Slavs.

The first Cyrillic script was found in Preslav.

That is nothing more than a theory. A rather weak one at that. It would be like trying to create a mutually intelligible language for Italians, French, Romanians, Spaniards etc and calling it Latin AFTER the fact. Preposterous. Another theory is that it was the language of the Macedonians.

... By St Clement of Ohrid, that's why he is usually attributed as the founder of cyrillic since he was noted to have developed a "rounder form" of glagolitic.

The oldest known script is from the Preslav Literary School, not necessarily the first.
