EU can start talks with Albania and North Macedonia over joining

Member states clear way for Balkan countries to join after concerns over corruption

    URL:

The EU can start membership negotiations with Albania and North Macedonia, according to a draft decision by the bloc’s 27 member states due to be finalised this week.

If approved as expected, the agreement would end two years of delays and signal new momentum for all six western Balkan countries – Serbia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Albania, Bosnia and North Macedonia – seeking to join the EU.

The hopes of North Macedonia and Albania were dashed last year as France and the Netherlands sounded scepticism over their track records on democracy and fighting corruption, fearful of allowing in new members at a time when the EU’s cohesion was already damaged by Britain’s departure.

Paris and The Hague eased their objections last month and the plans to allow talks to start have gained momentum despite the coronavirus crisis, with Brussels eager to show its determination to bring the Balkans into the EU fold.

Last week, Greece still did not support the decision, which requires unanimity of EU members, but diplomatic sources said Athens had given its approval after the latest draft included stronger language on protecting Greek and other national minorities in Albania.

If no country objects, the decision is expected to be formally adopted this week by the 27 EU members’ Europe ministers.

The French president, Emmanuel Macron, who blocked the opening of talks with Skopje and Tirana in October, said in February he was willing to allow them to begin membership talks if the European commission gave them a positive review and changed the way it admitted new countries.

Brussels duly did, with a reform of the enlargement process presented in February, which France welcomed.

EU governments, not just the commission, now have more say over the process, ensuring that hopefuls meet targets in economic, judicial and other reforms, and can reset the process if Balkan governments do not step up.

A shooting incident occurred this afternoon in the Matka canyon, at the small pier used by the popular boat tour operators. Several boat operators got into an argument, durign which one of them fired at least one shot.

Nobody has been injured in the incident, that was caught on video, the police said. It was reported that the incident was instigated by local tour boat boss Mervan Sulejmani, a politically linked activist of the ruling SDSM party. Sulejmani, accompanied by several men, attacked two other operators, Said and Sadik Amet.

The Matka canyon is a popular tourism draw just west of the capital Skopje. It was recently marred by unregulated development in the protected zone, driven by Sulejmani, to which the local and city authorities turned a blind eye do to his political connections.

Tapes show Zaev discuss how he abused the 2015 wiretaps, his influence over the Special Prosecutor and over the Soros funded protest groups

The Infomax news site published four short audio tapes of SDSM party leader Zoran Zaev. In the tapes, Zaev is heard confirming that he was giving away the cache of audio leaks he used in his power-grab since 2015 for political purposes, boasts that the leftist protest groups, “all of those Soros funded groups, they are mine” and that Special Prosecutor Katica Janeva coordinates her actions with him.

In a normal world this should infuriate and motivate those on the losing side of that scheme. Losing is one thing but losing a fixed game, that's a another matter. Lets see our "nationalists" show a little spine and a light fight.

SDSM party activists bribing Roma voters during police hour

          URL:

The video showing SDSM party activists bribing poor voters in the Roma neighborhood in Strumica, was promptly removed from Facebook in an apparent attempt to censor it. It shows SDSM activists noting that the packages with aid come from their party leader Zoran Zaev, in a clear attempt to get the recipients to vote for SDSM at the coming elections.

After the video was removed, it was republished by VMRO-DPMNE activist from Strumica Eli Panova, who said that these attempts at censorship will not hide the truth about the election irregularities, coupled with blatant disregard for the rules put in place to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

The images we are seeing are horrifying. Party activists are delivering “aid” without any protective gear. It’s clear that Zoran Zaev is out of control and will stop at nothing to avoid being held accountable after the elections, said DPNE’s spokesman Naum Stoilkovski.

He noted that the SDSM led Government is still imposing lengthy lockdowns and curfews, but allows its activists to ignore them and to bribe votes while avoiding the rules regulating the wearing of masks and the avoiding of unnecessary gatherings.

They don’t care about your health, all they care about is protecting their offices, Stoilkovski added.

A local SDSM activist named Erol Fetiov is reportedly the organizer of this “food aid” program. Fetiov was named in the wiretaps published by the Italian La Verita newspaper which also showed how the SDSM party is pressuring poor Roma voters into supporting them, using bribes and threats.

Hard to even be surprised, the flagrant disregard for any sense of honour or pride on full display

DUI continues with the campaign for an ethnic Albanian Prime Minister. It announced today that in the past there were only two options for who will be the next Prime Minister of the country and always the factual situation was that he or she will be one of the candidates of SDSM or VMRO.

What is the objective of opening a branch in Macedonia?

Kosovo’s Largest Party Vetevendosje to Open Branch in North Macedonia

                URL:

Kosovo’s Self-Determination Movement (Vetevendosje) is set to open a branch in North Macedonia, following their last expansion into Albania one year ago.

Its leader Albin Kurti announced the news at Vetevendosje’s rally in Pristina on Friday.

“We have a center in the Republic of Albania, but starting today we will launch the initiative to form the Vetëvendosje Movement in North Macedonia,” Kurti announced.

Vetevendosje is currently the largest party in Kosovo. Its government was toppled after less than two month in office.

In April 2019, a Vetevendosje Albanian branch was opened in Tirana as an NGO. They have since then staged several protests in the country.

Vetevendosje has been planning to open a branch in North Macedonia since last year. Albanians in North Macedonia comprise more than 25 percent of the population, and the political landscape that represents them is fragmented into several parties.

When the party won the October 2019 elections, many saw this as a potential game changer in the Albanian political landscape.

Sad state of affairs. This man is the PM of Bulgaria.

                    URL:

Radev on Borissov’s claims that he filmed him with a drone: My imagination has its limits

Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov has come under pressure this week after photos of a weapon and stacks of cash allegedly taken in his bedroom were leaked to the media.

Bulgarian President Rumen Radev said today that the biggest threat to the government is the very Prime Minister Boyko Borissov.

No one can better discredit the government than the government itself, Radev said, commenting on Borisov’s claims that the Bulgarian president had spied on him with a drone.

At yesterday’s briefing, after photos of Borisov sleeping in his bedroom were published anonymously, the Bulgarian prime minister accused the head of state of being behind the scandal and that Radev personally managed the drone.

President Radev said that he indeed owned a drone but everything else was “just Borissov’s fantasy and paranoia”.

“I can’t comment on everything Borissov claims. My imagination has its limits, he added.

At the moment, the most important thing, according to the Bulgarian president, is to restore public confidence in society. This is possible only through the truth, the BGNES agency reports.

Radev added that the future as a state of law depends on that, but the main role here is played by the prosecution, which should investigate audio recordings and photographs published in the media.

He also categorically stated that the struggle for power is between political parties, and he, as he said, stays outside the kitchen of political parties. Borissov is the leader of the conservative Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (GERB), and Radev has taken over the presidency with the support of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP).

In one of the photos, Borissov is shown sleeping next to a gun on a bedside nightstand. Other pictures show only the nightstand filled with 500 euro notes and gold bars.

Earlier this week an audio file was published by some local media in which a voice similar to Borissov’s is heard making offensive remarks about the head of parliament and a deputy minister. The voice on the recording also boasts about ordering an independent financial regulator to carry out a probe into a Bulgarian company.

Prosecutors have launched a probe into the audio to check if it was acquired via illegal eavesdropping and whether it had been doctored.

These are the idiots that our politicians negotiate with regarding our sovereignty and culture. Once a dumb Balkan politician, always one.

The northadonian traitor and current president Stevo Pendarovski made an announcement condemning the genocide of the Roma during WWII. On a side note, every time this rat speaks he looks like a weirdo. Anyway:

Whilst the suffering that Roma (along with many other innocent people) endured is deplorable and should never be repeated in future, I wonder how many public announcements have been made by this rat with respect to the genocide inflicted on Macedonians during the first half of the 20th century.

Yep, both him and the other rat, Zaev, both look really weird every time they speak in front of a camera. Their mannerisms are quite disturbing actually and I think it gives us a bit of an insight into exactly what kind of retards are running that country. Pederovski didn't waste anytime with the typical lefty vocabulary that seems to roll of their dirty tongues so easily: "Predrasudi" (Prejudices) and, the lefty favourite, "Govor na Omraza" (Hate Speech).

We immediately noticed the Albanian flag placed on the table. In front of the high guests of the EU Delegation in Skopje, the Minister violated the Law on the Use of Flags. Namely, the law envisages the use of the flag of other communities in the Republic of Macedonia only in the local self-governments, if the members of that community are more than 50% of the population in that municipality.

Police inspector Fatim Hasani suspended after transporting cocaine with police vehicle

No Macedonian media has been allowed to report that police inspector Fatim Hasani, the brother of Bashkim Hasani (Deputy MoD) and DUI’s chief in Gostivar has been transporting cocaine throughout the country, safely in a police vehicle. If you think about it, it’s genius, who would stop a police vehicle!?

The Minister of MoI, Spasovski has stashed away Hasani’s file and is not prosecuting the DUI mobster turned police inspector!! He is only suspended. Hasani was working for Hazir Jakupi, a well known drug trafficker.

SDSM and DUI…. now this is a Government!
