Apparently I need to pay to see this photo? Anyway you could make it visible to me?
I know of two tragic histories in the world- that of Ireland, and that of Macedonia. Both of them have been deprived and tormented.

On March 1 1913. Cupovski issued the 'Memorandum of Independence of Macedonia' in which he protested against the desire of the Balkan League to partition Macedonia and presented the declaration to foreign diplomats in Russia at the time.

Notice the flag with the horse on it and please do also notice the text writen above it, THE MACEDONIAN FLAG and also written on it, ONE INDEPENDENT MACEDONIA. There is a high likelihood that the horse represents Bukefal.

Anyone else find it kind of funny how Čupovski quotes Sarafov when today he remains a controversial figure that some would label 'Bulgarophilic'

The formation in London, of the Central National Committee for the Autonomy of Macedonia and Albania?

I have never heard of this organisation and a quick google search reveals nothing. Does anyone have any more information on this?

Sarafov was an opportunist from what my readings have led me to consider.

Many shared a dislike of him after the Ilinden uprising when he escaped to Bulgaria with the Krusevo uprising flag whilst the Macedonian revolutionaries who stayed in Macedonia and felt the repercussions of the Ottomans together with the people.

Some sources even link Sarafov to the betrayal of Gjorgi Sugarev through Sarafov's man Petre Ligushev.

That does not go against the fact that he did some good things for the Macedonian cause. eg: Promoted the Macedonian cause throughout Europe, Financed the Gemidzi for their dynamite to name a few.

I completely agree with that characterization.

There are reasons why both Uzunov and Sandanski called for his demise.

But yes, he did help convey and promote the Macedonian perspective to Europe.

There are elements in Macedonia who blame Sandanski for what happened later on re "The brotherly murders". However, people are either oblivious or just simply don't want to bring up that Sarafov and Gavranov tried to have Sandanski killed first.

Don't think there ever were many and most were students at the university. Likely moved elsewhere and just fazed out over time.

There was the Macedonian Regiment in the Russian Imperial Army, going back to the 1700's.

Supposedly Georgy Malenkov's ancestors were Macedonians (from Ohrid) who served in the Russian Imperial Army.

Georgy Malenkov was the leader of the Soviet Union after Stalin.
